QC&C? It's basically gonna be the Darkshroud, 3 HQs, and all the bikes roving around in a ball blowing gak up. I was considering dropping the Rwing Bikers and 1 sniper rifle for 3 more black knights, but I think 2 units is better. Extra bolters to help clear hordes, and they can also split off to grab an objective if need be, whereas a single unit of black knights cannot.

Warlord will be the talonmaster I think, he's gonna have a heavenfall blade, and the Strength of the Lion warlord trait. This list is for an upcoming tournament list at my LGS. I know at least one person is gonna be bringing Imperial Guard, so I'll have to deal with Russes, and at least one other dude is bringing at least 1 Knight.

I'm kind of concerned that I lack big guns, but in 1250, it's kinda hard to bring more than what I've got... I feel like first turn most of the enemy fire is going to have to go into the Darkshroud, since it's otherwise going to be a huge pain in the ass later in the game. So that buys my Black Knights (hopefully!) 1 turn to get into position and dump plasma into something. I'm also thinking about stratagems. I only have 8CP, (5 for Battalion, 3 from battleforged) and a few of those will likely go into Weapons from the Dark Age assuming all my bikes don't get torn apart turn 1-2. Speed of the Raven is obviously incredibly good/useful. Speaking of that stratagem...

I also have a question about Speed of the Raven. How exactly does this interact with Assault weapons? Like, since it doesn't say anything about shooting weapons' BS being effected, does it effect them? I'm assuming if I Speed of the Raven my Ravenwing Bikers, they can shoot their bolters and plasma guns with no penalty. However, since Assault weapons fire at -1 when you advance, does this still apply to the Plasma Talons? I'd love to be able to turbo-boost turn 1 and use Weapons of the Dark Age to get off a strong alpha strike on enemy vehicles, but if I am at -1 BS, overcharging them will be extremely risky even with rerolls from Sammael.

1. I would ditch the Psyker. You wont have any resistances against smite that way, but clever movement can avoid the biggest damage, and I usually feel that my psykers dont do much besides denying *maybe* 1 power/turn.

Instead you could take a twin-laz-razorback. Its good and it even fits the theme (acts as transport for the tactical squad)

2. IF you want to keep the psyker, put him to the 3 fast attack choices for an outrider detatchment (+1 CP)

3. I dont think the scouts need that heavy bolter/sniper rifles. In my experience snipers suck in 8th, and the heavy bolter is not really needed. Better take bolters and buy a combi-plasma for the biker-seargent.

4. Why scouts with knifes? I run my scouts with boltguns. most of the time theyre dead before they see melee
