Hi there Dakka Community,

I'm playing around with a 3 tank commander List right now and it is very effectice, but as soon as my guardsmen are munched away, the TCs are quite vulnerable to being "chargelocked". (being charged and recharged after running for it and thus unable to shoot)

So I'm looking for taktiks to shoot with the TCs after falling back.

I'm asking to confirm or contradict the following rules interpretation:

The ordered model can move up to 6" in this phase, either before or after it shoots, as if it were the Movement phase. This
does not affect how far the vehicle has moved for the purposes of determining how many times it can fire its turret weapon
(as described in the Grinding Advance ability above).

When using the Tallarn Tank order "Get around behind them!", nowhere does it specify, that it mustn't be within 1" of the enemy when starting said move. So it should be fine to move out of the 1" range using said rule. Since Falling Back happens in the movement phase and this isn't technically falling back I don't see a rule that should prohibit from shooting with the LR after the move.
I chekced the AM FAQ and the two Big FAQs and can't find anything to contradict this interpretation.

If wrong please correct me and if you found a better solution for my problem I would be very thankfull for suggestions.

I think this is raw but not rai. However, as a Tallarn player myself, I am very interested in this

You move "as if in the movement phase", including being unable to leave combat without falling back because that is how it works in the movement phase. JSJ is great in general, but this does not work.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
