i want to see things aesthetically weird, unusual or different so no ultramarines cadians and so on
things like a cadian body but made up colour scheme will be fine as it represents a new planet blahblah
flesh tearers, and lamenters would also be fine as pretty much no-one uses them
put pictures
i collect flesh tearers and made up the planet Deotrim and i collect the 16th regiment from there

My custom chapter (Imperial Avengers [of Horus]) is made up of reformed Renegades and drafts from Imperial Guard that have contact with Chaos (so a good number of Cadians from the Cadian Gate), supervised by a company borrowed from the Grey Knights.

My pan-eldar army is based on the idea I had when I first started my Harlequins in 8th that if units of Drukhari or Eldar wraith units were to show up looking to dedicate themselves to the Harlequins, they would most likely not tell them "Ok, but you have to throw away all your highly valuable advanced eldar weapons and vehicles - also, no wraithsies allowed!"
So, my allied Eldar are Craftworld Lugganath (so chosen because they're the most likely to ally with other eldar groups), I have a few units done up as Harlequin Mimes, a unit that disappeared from the 2nd ed harlequin book, and my Drukhari and wraith units are all converts who would have or would have had no choice but to keep their weapons with them when they left.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"
"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"
"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"
"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!" |

both cool and I like the idea that the guard might turn renegade at any moment so they have to be watched by a few grey knights
have you made any lore behind what your armies excel at or any major battles they have been in
my regiment was on the machrian crusade and was the regiment that caused the main breakthrough on Zaga IV. they have a baneblade called iron faith. they are known for using air support more than most regiments. they have connections with saint Celestine and during the crusade forght with some allarus custodes. they aren't as racist to abhumans as most but still love commisars far to much. they also use wyverns quite a lot (definitely because in 8th they are amazing) as well as liking artillery a bit. they like to show of with their uniforms like the mordians but also want to stay alive so wear armour. finally just because I needed a logical explanation so I can field them and my flesh tearers together I said they put up with the flesh tearers but always have some artillery pointing to the marines just incase. Automatically Appended Next Post: sorry about not mentioning your eldar its just im not up to date on them as you could say but I know someone with drukar dark eldar and can see why you use them as he one shotted my wyvern with the fightr and the fact you can have -5ap weapons as hand held

Scythes of the emperor, not unused but they aren't common. Seen as a doomed chapter after near extinction by hive fleet kraken they have been brought back to full strength again with primaris reinforcement.
I run mine as 1st company and therefore count as death watch on the table top. Each squad leader has served in the death watch and due to the chapters history of fighting Tyranids there are a high propensity of Scythes who have completed tours of duty with them.

I got a bunch of Starfleet Marines for cheap on eBay, and I'm running them (with some Cadian models mixed in) as my own regiment. My initial plan was to add a Manta Ray stamp on them to both represent a ship unique to Starfleet Battles, and as a way for me to run them as Cultists for my Thousand Sons. I decided against it, but the idea has inspired my name and fluff for them: the Mantos Dragoons.
The Mantos Dragoons come from the Hive World of Mantos, an oceanic planet with abundant resources in the depths of the planet spanning ocean. Highly polluted, this planet has a higher rate of mutation than most worlds in the Imperium. Because of this, the local PDF, and the Mantos Dragoons regiment often launch surprise purges through the hives. Through these purges, they have become experts in urban warfare a d fighting both Chaos cults and Genestealer Cults, and are often employed by neighboring systems to hunt such cults.

175,836th Navy Provost Battalion "City Tigers"
Role: Primary: Enforce Naval law and discipline at Naval Instillation "Ironhold Spire" (City of 1.7 million)
2ndary: Defend Naval Instillation "Ironhold Spire" (City of 1.7 million)
Provost Motto: "Enforce and Redeem"
"City Tigers" Motto: Star's Redemption.
The 175,836th is a Navy Provost Battalion assigned to enforce His's Navy's Discipline for the port instillation "Ironhold Spire". Due to conflicts with the local planetary governor over jurisdiction, the 175,836th has been assigned general law enforcement duties under the advice of the local Arbites office (one guy for the system). To maintain order in the 'no man's land' outside the city, the unit was issued APC's. The light tank's are to enforce traffic laws.
The infantry are made from Victorian Miniatures Tannanburg, Victorian, and Great coat sets.
The tanks are converted from a Chinese knock off of a Metal Slug model kit.

My Space Marines are called the Void Kraken. Was lost in the warp with no memory of their legion/chapter of origin so they where forced to resort to a lot of salvaging, ship boarding actions, rapid deployment assaults (with quit exits), and even outright piracy for supplies due to existing outside of imperial records and thus the target of Inquisitorial investigation. This lasted a few hundred years until they where press ganged into the "Fiery Heart of the Emperor" Crusade.

I play Vostroyans. Actual, metal Vostroyan Firstborn. I'm literally the only person in over 15 years of playing Guard to field them in any tournament I've ever been to. Never seen another Vostroyan player in person (Seen plenty online, to be sure) so I count that as being somewhat rare I suppose.
Take it easy.

I have a pretty large, but as of yet unbuilt and unpainted Victorian Guard army including two full units of index-legacy Rough Riders. ;-)
Other than that I'm currently stripping and repainting a rather large amount of Nurgle Chaos Space Marines. Not Death Guard, mind you, but the older stuff, using the CSM Codex.
And then there's a bunch of Adeptas Sororitas and Citadel Miniatures Space Dwarves I found in some box... Not chapters and guard, but unisual nonetheless.

This is my custom chapter, the Infinity Wardens. They're an Ultima Founding Dark Angels successor, primarily tasked with keeping in check the fallout from a certain temporal anomaly the Dark Angels were involved with.
The scheme is bone with black pauldrons. The chapter symbol is a ouroboros. Sergeants have a bronze helm, higher officers have a bronze helm and pauldrons.

Not a chapter or regiment, but I am building a Inquisition force based on survivors of storm-trooper squads and regiments that have been wiped out.
I am using a variety of paint schemes based on how the model looks, basically the majority will have different colors,
Or that is hopw I envision them since i can't paint worth crap...
Then I have a decent sized force of The true sons of Caliban (Fallen). Which are used but rarely from what I can tell.
