Hey, I've recently began reading the Warhammer Chronicles series and began with the Rise of Nagash, and now am halfway through The Sundering (the elf story) and an idea popped in my head that's bothering me.

Also this is my first post on the site and I apologize if its in the wrong place.

<<<SPOILERS AHEAD>>>

So in Rise of Nagash towards the end of the book he creates a crown, in which he poors his cruelty, his malice, his will to dominate all life (laugh if you get it) Now, this crown is described as a crude object of immense dark power, and now reading Sundering, Malekith travels far North into the Chaos Wastes where he finds the infamous Circlet of Iron in a confusing obsidian labyrinth city imbedded in a mountain where he and his regiment are attacked by mummified guardians whilst aquiring the Circlet. Is the Circlet somehow Nagash's crown? Doesnt this strange city in the Chaos Wastes somehow sound like the Desolation of Nagash? I know the Desolation of Nagash and his crown are supposed to be located far south east of Ulthuan beyond the wastelands, but i gotta point out some fishy coincedences here and the fact that the concept of the Chaos Wastes is that it is chaotic and little makes sense, and time and location may be warped in funky ways. Is what im suggesting possible? Nagash learned the dark arts by Druchii sorcerers, has the story come full circle?

Lore Question #2 Nagash is "destroyed" kinda at the end of the book by Alcazzir who was given a super sword by the Skaven Warlord Eekrit, was it the Sword of Khaine? If so, how did the Skaven comeby possesing it?

any Input, thoughts, ideas, theories, or links to other stories to fill these holes will be greatly appreciated.

Again, if i posted this in the wrong place let me know.

Nagash learned magic from a group of Dark Elves that he'd captured. Malekith found the Circlet before the Elven nation was divided into High and Dark Elves. So while your theory is interesting, it doesn't fit with the lore.

The implication has always been that Malekith found the ruins of a long-dead civilization. Further, the presence of large amounts of obsidian points to something other than Nagash, as obsidian was not used for construction in Nehekara (Nagash's Black Pyramid was built out of black marble). Finally, there's no particular reason why one of Nagash's old settlements would be linked to Chaos. There's no evidence that he ever worshipped the Chaos Powers, and his vile actions were focused exclusively on the sorts of things that would result in undeath.

Alcadizaair's sword is not the Sword of Khaine. It's a sword that was specifically crafted by the Skaven, and apparently made out of pure warpstone. The Sword of Khaine is found in the Altar of Khaine, and the *only* time (before End Times) that the sword was not located at the Altar was when Aenarion used it. When he was finished with it, he returned it to the altar just before he died. Both the High and the Dark Elves are very wary of the blade (even Malekith won't draw it, and there's very little that he fears), and it's undoubtedly guarded day and night. Even if the Skaven had somehow been able to acquire the blade, the elves would have known almost immediately.

The sword used to defeat nagash is known as the fell blade and the shaven still possessed it until the end times at least. It was still a magic item option in the skaven codex until aos.
