Finally got around to opening Forgebane. The sprues for the Tech-Priest Dominus and the Necron Cryptek are missing.

My FLGS can't help me because they don't allow returns or exchanges over 90 days (which I think is completely reasonable.)

I think I know the answer to this question, but is there any point in contacting GW about the issue? I think they only fix problems with products you buy from them directly.

Contact GW. They will ask for date of purchase, proof of purchase, and usually a lot code that can be found somewhere on the box. Then they will ship you the sprues.

GW has been really really great about these issues for me.

Hell I've had a sprue with deformed pieces (a Basilisk with one of the longer treads melted in the middle) and they shipped me a whole Chimera as a replacement, no questions asked. They're pretty good with customer service, they know their products are expensive as gak and want to be sure people think they're getting value for their money.

I got replacement flight stands from for my inceptors as they were all smashed in my wake the dead box. That was bought from a third party.

Thanks for the replies.

Yeah, I know they are good on Customer Service. I wasn't sure because I bought this from a third party, but also because I can't find the $%$@$% receipt.

I sent them an email tonight, we will see what they say. Optimistic.

Never had to send them a receipt. LOT code and exact desciption of the missing pieces were always enough.
They don't care where you bought it from, as they are still the manufacturer and have to stand in for faulty products.

Yeah, they wrote me back asking for a Lot code and an address to send a replacement.

All I asked for was the sprues, but they said they plan to send a replacement box.

*fingers crossed*

From GW's point of view it costs them less to send you a full sprue than to just send the damaged parts. That' because they just pluck it right off the production run; whilst if they have to only send specific parts someone has to open a box or interrupt the production chain; clip out the part; find a bag and pack it and post it off. Plus they then need to throw away the waste sprue (storing would be nuts considering how big their range is)

So when dealing with a company policy its cheaper to just send you the full kit.

Generally they just want proof of purchase and sometimes the barcode or lot number for their own references. Thus also helps them cut down on anyone trying to scam their customer service system.
