They're popular this year... I have wine personally. I did point out to my parents that it's traditional to consume the advent calendar treat first thing in the morning so they were endangering my life and the lives of anybody near my drive to work, but I refused to hand it back.

When I was managing an off-licence a couple of years ago we had an excellent Craft Beer Advent calendar.
The funniest one I've seen this year was at Aldi or Lidl. It was a tool and attachments calendar. Every day you get a new hex bolt spanner head, or an abrazive disc or something like that.
