Good day I just started getting stuff for my daughter who loves fantasy. So I Have mixed apples and oranges by error so I need some help. I was trying to get figures which I thought would be strong female characters from the age of sigmar. But my quest I did not realize I was mixing games I was going for role characters to provide inspiration to her. Also I had trouble with blue body armor. After 32 years of real world military I seen my share of things. So those who weather equipment to much it never happens in real life. I remember the local hobby shop owner said once to me its your product or project make it for you but make it look like something not perfect, but something believable. Never forgot that so I have bee n building models for 30 plus years mostly railroad stuff and ships like carriers. Love those beast. So here is problem I have tau, neurons space wolves dark angels and astra militarum figures no problem I don't like the blue but can work with the grey or green colors. So you have to have a reason to fight so I drew upon the wisdom of a friend who builds warhammer because he can't sleep he said go to the classics zenomorph movies for inspiration starship troopers and aliens so I have the common uniform in mind I know the bugs are the tryainds but I can't a reason for the other characters to be used then it hit me I was looking at old issues of model railroad found and iorn ore processing plant that would work have it as a fuel processing plant and the others could be workers at the plant different species working together very star trek like but positive. It is large building I can add platforms to for minis but can't work out how the tau would call the marines for help and why would the bugs need it's. That's the big questions. So here are my concerns am dreaming or this situation doable? Secondly please who ever dreamed the blue needs to re think it. I am going with olive drab for my vehicles and Valkyries or spacecwolf gray for few assigned to them which happens in real life. I just don't know what terrain to use rocky waste land or some thing like a desert with wooded areas around because I like the eleves wood colors. And Autumn foliage just have tie the two together any thoughts or suggestions please. Tau colors needed her favorite is pink and purple I have gone gundams for her in grey and purple. That the other reason I like the tau because of the mech and their history I thought they where water creatures but they I hunters like the American Indians which did a lot of support for being in army medical. I like the occure or orange and gray or black.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...
