So, my gaming group is running a 6ed WFB campaign set in the Moot. We have a goblin wolf rider army, necromancer army, dark elves, ogres and, Dogs of war (npc) army. I played a lot of 8th edition ogres and collected the newer stuff, mournfang, thundertusk/stonehorn, iron blasters, etc. so I don’t know where to go with 6th edition ogres. Any help on useful builds would be much appreciated.
Oh, also my GM has allowed the use of gnoblar horde list and the rhinox riders.

Available models:
Tyrant
Butcher
Firebelly
BSB
Greases goldtooth
Bragg
Golgfag

16 bulls
7 iron guts
60 gnoblars

4leadbelchers
10 maneaters
4mournfang
5sabertusks

1 giant
1 scraplauncher
1 iron blaster
1thundertusk
1 stonehorn

Going back to 6th takes a lot away from ogres but when your in a group roll with the punches. You could use the Firebelly as another Butcher. You can use the Mournfangs as Rhinox Riders. The Stonehorn/Thundertusk could be used as a Chaos War Mammoth. I don't know if ogres can take the Mammoth but if you're already using FW Rhinox rules I'm sure there is some room for flexibility. The Ironblaster could just be a 2nd Scrap launcher.

Hope that helps some.

It all depends on your club. At any rate, to run all that you'd be proxying the hell out of half of it. I could easily come up with a 2,000 point 6th Ed. list with what you have, but it also depends on what you like to run. I need more data. ALSO if you have your heart set on a unit that has no equivalent in 6th, you'd have to come up with some fair house rules for it and pitch it to your gaming group.

Looking for dice from the new AOS boxed set and Dark Imperium on the cheap. Let me know if you can help.

How did the Druchii get there?

Necromancers, yep, the Empire is infested with them. Ogres, many live there. Gobbos are everywhere, but dark elves, someone was really sleeping on the job for a druchii army to make its way that deep into the Empire.

You will need a portal methinks.

I run my ogres quite often in 6th. I have the fw rhinoxen, bunch of bills, ironguts, leadbelchers, tyrant, butcher, bsb, and hunter. They're pretty effective.

Vampire Counts 12,000 pts Tomb Kings 5,000 pts
Skaven 9,500 pts Ogre Kingdoms 7,000 pts
High Elves 8,800 pts
Bretonnia 8,000 pts
Empire 7,500 pts Lizardmen 6,000 pts
Dwarfs 10,000 pts Chaos 18,500 pts
Wood Elves 10,000 pts Dark Elves 7,000 pts
Orcs and Goblins 9,500 pts Dogs of War 5,000 pts.

6th ogres was a big investment for GW, so the line is rather small.Core units are the same as for 8th, but it lacks in the support. Mounted includes spiced things up a bit, as did the firebelly.

I would port the Mournfangs and Firebelly in from 8th. You could try and recreate the Firebelly with a Hunter and an item that generates fire spells, but the cost is unfair however that is done.
Mournfangs are less broken than Rhinox and port right in.

I would leave out the Ironblaster or either of the two mammoth mounts, the former is too broken and the latter unscaled for 6th. There simply just isnt anything else as big and it will break the game.

That being said are the dark elves running the rescaled Altar of Khaine? They are entitled to one in 6th but the older model had a completely different footprint.

Looks like the thunder tusk and stonehorn are just off the table for now. We might use them for an endgame event. We are working the fire belly as a butcher with lore of fire. The dark elf player mainly plays DND and has been buying mostly character kits and a few infantry so he is building his army for this campaign. He missed the opening game so I’m not 100% on the reason they DE are there.

We did our opening game and I played ogres and the dogs of war list. In a three way dance for a small moot village. Roflstomped the goblin and necromancer armies because of good use of the buildings and the river piece.

Dogs of war
1 mounted lord
1 lore of shadow wizard
1 pay master
Pay masters body guard
20 dwarf warriors
10 crossbows
10 duelist x2
5 knights
Cannon

Tyrant with tenderizer and heavy armor
Butcher with halfling cookbook
BSB with dragon hide banner and great weapon

7 bulls, full command, LA, ironfists
6 iron guts, full command
20 gnoblars

Scrap launcher
4 maneaters with long swords

Gutrek special “Slayer” maneater campaign character

This is a typical ogres list for me at least in 6th. It did well this time but I see som areas where it could fall flat. For example the scrap launcher killed itself turn one.

Honestly the details on the other armies are a lot hazy. I just remember the goblins was mostly wolf riders expect one unit of regular goblins, a three man unit of trolls, and a giant. The necromancer army was buckets of zombies some knights and a unit of grave guard.

If you guys are interested I can post the campaign starter lore here.

Oh and FYI here are gutreks rules as of now.

Gutrek 230pts
M6 ws5 bs3 s5 t5 w4 I3 a4 ld8
Dog of war
Maybe be taken in any army of the moot campaign as a special choice.

Slayer

Slayer axes

Ancestors gut plate
Light armor 4++ ward

Headbutt full of nails
May choose to make a single “headbutt” attack instead of normal attacks at +3 strength 3damage attack. If he successfully hit he sufferers stupidity for rest of game.

FYI I am posting from my phone while at work. I’m sorry if the formatting ends up weird.
