I'm currently lucky enough to have snagged a ruined Stompa model for zero dollars, which is missing enough parts that I don't think I want to bother trying to cobble it together as a tabletop unit, but I think might make a killer centerpiece for an ork scrapyard terrain board.

The idea I had for it was classic Gorkamorka style work-in-progress construction site, and I thought sprue might make a good basis for a scaffolding structure around the sides and on top. I was going to separate the arms and head to use in other buildings (suspended from cranes or held by grabba klaws while the mekboyz work on them.

Has anyone come across any good guides or tutorials for achieving that construction?

You can find excellent examples of Orky scaffolding by looking at pictures of any Balfour Beatty construction project.

IMO, you don't need a tutorial; you need some photos of scaffolding, a sketchpad, a bit of elementary maths for figuring out hypotenuses and you'll be good.
