Necron immortals come in 5 or 10 man units and all must be armed with either a gauss blaster or a Tesla carbine. Both weapons have their advantages.

Assuming I want flexibility but don't want to fornicate with magnets would most be peolle OK with me making 5 with gauss and 5 with Tesla and clearing putting the weapon the squad is armed with in front to say they whole squad has that weapon, and remove the other weapons first. As long as aplager makes it clear up front I have no problem with it.

This question would be better placed in 40k Tactics.
My 20 Immortals are armed with tesla.
More dakka but less impact (especially vs. MEQ).

Would depend on a player-by-player basis. Personally as long as you've made it very clear beforehand I wouldn't have a problem.

Well, my first Necron try-out game in the 8th ed was against Ravenwing.
My army was mostly fielding tesla weapons, which mostly bounced off. Absolutely frustrating.

All going to be down to your opponent.

One would hope most are fine with it. I mean, it's not as if it's a particularly massive deal in the grand scheme of things.

But I would say if they do object, don't try to out-goon the goon. It's a losing battle. Just accept it and amend your list accordingly.

Me, I prefer Tesla. Because FZZZAAAPPPP!

Given the amount of minus hit modifiers around I don't see the point in tesla as the effect will not go off.

MWBD on Tesla is important. 2x10 Immortals, both getting MWBD from an OL with a 1 CP strat helps offset -1 to hit penalties, and against flat to hit targets, drowns them in dice.

Its a staple of mine.
