In the flash gordon movie with Max Von Sydow, how is it ming the mercilless had black blood but his daughter, princess aura, had red blood? I never figured that one out...

Is she even really his daughter by blood, or possibly adopted?

"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks
I think her relationship to him varies on the setting. Similarly how alien Ming is also varies. In some he's basically human in all but name; in others he's totally alien.
She's always his daughter, but sometimes its by adoption, conquest, genetic manipulation and by natural birth - either from human to human or from interspecies (since its clear that the denizens of Mongo are fairly capable of interbreeding despite their significant physical variations)
I was shocked to hear the famous theme song recently on a TV commercial of the camera built into a phone. It grabbed my attention across the bar in mid-sentence......

Yes, it's been haunting me daily since I saw the movie on video years ago. I've searched the net for years to find the perfect place to ask this incredibly important question. I finally found this site and knew it was the perfect place to pose this vital query.

I understand max von sydow enjoyed paying ming quite a bit and would have been happy to do a sequel. He loved being encouraged to go totally over the top.

Or, his Black Blood is the result of genetic tinkering to expand his life.
More importantly, I’m sure Vultan shouts DIIIIEEEEEE, rather than dive.
I am not the only one then!
-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

Here is the clip. He definitely says the V sound both times he shouts the word in this clip. However, I'm pretty sure he never says, "Hawkmen, dive!", the most famous 'quote' from the whole movie.

You are doing it wrong. Watch Flesh Gordon instead.
Gotta watch it all the way through for the best results.

My favorite scene was with the assteroids. (Yes, assteroids, a rare hazard of space flight.)
