Is void 1,1 still in business?

No idea on the game itself. Models can be found here though.
They're a bit dated but there's a ton of cool sculpts.

Void 1.1's rules are available legitimately from Scotia Grendel as free downloads. The game was a real blast. Something I liked---that many people would not like---was that the human armies all could field the same core type troops. They later kinda changed that but it was helpful for balance AND you could essentially own multiple armies just by having units from different armies.

It all got a bit complicated. The original rules came in a series of magazines; issue 0 was the preview of the miniatures given away free, then the next four contained the rules and introduced the factions one at a time; when they released a revised rulebook, it became Void 1.1. That was basically 40k using D10s. Urban War was the spin-off skirmish game in a hive world-esque setting where they revamped the miniatures line. Metropolis was a spin off of Urban War, which sort of took the place of its grandparent - larger games, but using the same basic mechanics as Urban War (alternate activation, giving each unit orders - stand and fire, advance, overwatch - at the start of each turn).

I don't know what happened to Urban Mammoth (the publishers of Void and Urban War). They were doing pretty well in the early 2000s, then they somehow botched the release of their big boxed game with plastic minis, development on Void stalled, there was some sort of financial irregularity from their accountant (apparently; I never really kept up with the details), their Edinburgh shop suffered flood damage and one of the two founders of the company moved to Kazakhstan.

If anyone ever played Kryomek in the 90s, the guys who were behind that (and also had a hand in Warzone and Chronopia when Target was still a going concern) went on to create Void, and there's a pretty obvious correlation from the Kryomek factions to Void. IIRC, Scotia Grendel had some connection with Fantasy Forge (the publishers of Kryomek) too, hence the close link between SG and I-Kore/Urban Mammoth, and why SG now have the rights to all the miniatures.

I've got a big box of Void 1.1 Viridians (mostly infantry with some of the skimmers and smaller dinosaur units) and loads of Urban War models. I did demos at the Claymore wargames show for them for a few years, getting paid in Urban War box sets, so I've got most if not all the starters, plus a load more Viridians and Koralon.

I was also one of their demo guys. They would send an unholy amount of free minis, seems like every month or so, with a scenario (so two small but respectable forces) to demo at the local game store.
I was genuinely grateful to get the free stuff but even to me then (what 15 plus years ago?) I kept wondering how they could sustain that.
Then, one day, they suddenly went under.
