Yes indeed come one come all to this thread of good will and Christmas cheer! It's nearly (and might even be for those in future timezones) Christmas Eve! The day of fasting before the feast; the day of last moment panic gift buying; of trying to remember how to wrap odd shapes; of making sure the dog hasn't eaten anything off the tree and of ensuring that one has a Christmas jumper ready to wear for the big day!
So what are you all hoping for, what are you Christmas plans and, for when the big day comes, what did you get? Geeky gifts of glorious wonder or new socks and a tea coasters? Whatever come share, come join in and share the Christmas Spirit!
Wahooo that time of year again, well I know for a fact that il be getting bolt action goodness as I ordered the stuff. Other than that I haven’t a clue, hopefully there will be some cash that will go towards an Ares sniper rifle I’ve been eying all year. As for plans well it’s round the in-laws with the kids so it’s their house they will blitz on Xmas day.
But as for now I have more rum to crack on with and watch crappy Xmas romcoms with the wife. It’s early but happy Christmas to all on here.

I know for a fact that I will get a gift voucher (coupon? Not sure what word fits best here) from my brother. Other than that, I am not expecting any hobby goodies. Besides, I still have a not yet built Storm Eagle from last years christmas I hopefully might finally assemble.

I've been baking various things all day. I just finished a banana cream pie, which is not my kind of dessert but i have the bananas and need to use them up. Plus pumpkin pie, apple crumble and apple cake.
Tommorow they shall all be eaten.
Then, presents! I think that i am getting brushes. Brushes are always good.

Anyone mind a little holiday music gift?
A little something from a few years ago that I always post to FB around this time of year.
My gift to my Dakka Friends and Family....
Of all the races of the universe the Squats have the longest memories and the shortest tempers. They are uncouth, unpredictably violent, and frequently drunk. Overall, I'm glad they're on our side!

Spending the holiday in Irvine, Ca with the in-laws. Been running around hitting all the food destinations before we leave on the 27th.
So this holiday season has been fulfilling.
I'm back!

Driving on Christmas Eve to see my mum, and then the rest of the relations in a big get-together on Christmas Day. She and I will be frying up some oysters for Christmas (old family tradition).
I know she's gotten me all of the new Ork vehicles (outside the Speed Freaks game), plus the dice and cards, as well as the new Citadel painting handles (as we each give pretty specific gift instructions). So, my Christmas looks pretty green!
My mom likes that I have Warhammer as a hobby, as she has been able to continue to buy me toys for Christmas my entire adult life.

First Christmas as a dad, so lots of excitement in the JamesY household. Doing a ham baked in coca cola and some home made stuffing to take to the in-laws tomorrow, and breaking/sacrificing all my beliefs by taking him to the village church for carol singing.
Wheeee! It’s Christmas morning here in NZ (yes, we live in the future).
A little elf (aelf?) tells me a copy of Blackstone Fortress may we’ll be waiting under the tree for me. That along with a sizeable gift voucher from work will make this a very 40k Christmas! Plans include eating and drinking too much, before hopefully working on a table full of sector mechanicus terrain.
Great idea for a thread MDG - a Merry Christmas to all!

The mention of Loot, like, above, moves me to do some shameless self promotion.
Yes. A plug so shameless it might make Slaanesh tut in disapproval, wishing it would cover itself up.
For the Nerd in your life, why not join the Loot Sharers on FB, and get that Nerd something they may never have thought they’d ever have, without paying any kind of feeBay premium?

Visiting the folks so I may have to see if I can locate my old late 80s vast gw hobbit horde that's somewhere in the house …. although I think I had to sell the hotpot launcher at one point when I needed cash, sigh, that was cool

Flew with my partner to visit her family, so the best part of my holiday is already half done. I'm on my own for getting a hobby gift (we're not exchanging gifts), but that shopping list of FW tanks is calling...
There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Having a quiet one with the family at my place… taking the holidays to sculpt some commissions and guess what I got the awesome Dark Imperium box set to keep me busy next year… 2019 is going to have loads of mushrooms, Death guard and Primaris
If you mention second edition 40k I will find you, and I will bore you to tears talking about how "things were better in my day, let me tell ya..." Might even do it if you mention 4th/5th/6th WHFB

It's a classic family Christmas at the Tyranid Horde household, the grandfather joins us for dinner and we just sit in and watch movies all day.
I asked for my first proper airbrush so I'm keen on using that soon! I was surprised with a big desk lamp that has a magnifying lens which is pretty neat, clamps to my desk and all!
Merry Christmas all, hope it's a good one wherever you are in the world!
Very quiet day here. I was able to borrow The Boy last Friday (it’s the Ex’s year to have him over the holiday) so celebrated then. He got me 5 rievers. Chatted with my folks for a bit this morning. Going to make a lasagna this afternoon, try to finish my painting for the month. Maybe sit down and start my year-end woolgathering and retrospectives.
Might hit Amazon and see if anything new showed up to buy with some gift cards I have. One problem with them as a source of GW is that product is spotty. Not like anything is getting primed or painted until spring anyway. Might splurge and get a mat to play one; that could see immediate use.
Loud day with the family here and the new huskies first ever Christmas - which is a very confusing time for a husky, but the appearance of a new treat - wondrous crunchy pigs ears - means he's had a very good time.
Model wise I got a Daughters of Khaine Battleforce so that's going to keep me busy and in a mountain of plastic shavings for a while!
