Hey Dakka. Thinking of basing my Deathwatch army around 3 squads of Intercessors, kitted as follows. any feedback would be kindly appreciated.
6 Intercessors
6 Auto Bolt Rifles
1 Aux Grenade Launcher
3 Hellblasters
3 Plasma Exterminators
Aggressor
Flamestorm Gauntlets.
This army is only meant for semi-comp pick-up games. for HQs I intend to take 2 Chaplian Venerable Dreadnoughts with Dual Fists... which, when in combat with an enemy unit, raise all friendly assault attack strengths by 1... so each marine that makes it in will be swinging 3 times at S5... viable as a chaff clearer/medium threat remover?
The unit moves, advances, shoots and is still able to assault. for picking on vehicles any of the Intercessors can use the D3 mortal wound strat. with flamers and powerfists people won't want to charge, sheer volume of attacks should break most units when my infantry connect. and the sprinkling of plasma is just there to ruin peoples days. with kraken rounds on assault bolters you essentially have a mobile standard boltrifle that double taps at 30" range... because f**k tau is why...
any feedback lads??
