So I noticed that there have been no updates on this film since the first trailer.

Quick rundown:

In 2000 Unbreakable was released and was moderately successful. For the next decade+ there was talk of a sequel, but M. Night's career decline post Signs/The Village kept anyone from really expecting a follow up.

In 2016 Split was released and revealed to be a loose sequel to Unbreakable. This is fairly significant because it came completely out of left field with no warning whatsoever. Split was a significant financial success as it raked in just shy of $280 mll against a $9 mil budget. Thanks to this success (and probably the fact the franchise has earned $560+ mil against a total budget $85mil) a third installment was green lighted, Glass.

There is an advance showing on 1/12 at select Alamo Drafthouses across the country. I was lucky to pick up tickets in my city, so if you're interested, check it out now!
