Dark Rituals: Malleus Maleficarum to launch on Kickstarter 15th January 2019


Let's start with some background:

As the many planes of existence turn and churn, occasionally alternate dimensions come into perfect alignment. These Conjunctions allow objects to slip from one world to another, sometimes causing chaos.
During the Dark Ages, a Conjunction occurred between Earth and Neemoss. These two dimensions could not be more different. Magic rules this alternate plane and its corrupting effects create worlds of monsters and cruelty, Neemoss being a prime example. When items from Neemoss appear on Earth they are still imbued with their magical essence. Healers, alchemists and all manner of snake-oil peddlers gradually realized their magic actually began to work! But things become decidedly worse when the Conjunction strengthens and the first Witches from Neemoss cross over to Earth.

What kind of game is this?

Dark Rituals: Malleus Maleficarum is a new game from the team that brought you The Order of Vampire Hunters. It is an asymmetric “One vs Many” miniatures board game for 2 to 5 players. The team controls a small band of Heroes defending villagers from a single player Witch Master. Game play is dynamic with little downtime: turns alternate between the two forces with a character on each side taking one or two actions, so long as they still have enough stamina.
Can you use the magic of Neemoss to defeat the invading horde? Or will you complete your Dark Rituals to summon the ultimate evil?
