Hey all
Being new to 8th edition 40k, I'm aware that FAQ/errata/updates etc. are being handled by Chapter Approved books.
There was one last year as far as I can tell, however it's not available on GW's webstore.
So, that leads me to a question - Does Chapter Approved 2018 include everything from last years book?
Thanks in advance.

CA2018 replace everything in CA2017, Yes. If you have the BRB, your Codex, the most recent FAQs and CA2018, there is no need for CA2017 Aside from maybe the scenarios -

Scenarios, the Apoc rules and other 'optional' stuff you hope will find its way into something a bit more lasting at some point, and a bit more complete.
e.g. the "pimp my Land Raider" stuff getting a bit more though and point values.
and maybe when CA2020 roles around the same for the Ork looted vehicles.
otherwise you just know some %^&%£$%^ even in "open play" is going to note that CA2024 replaces all previous ones so the special rules no longer apply, and you will be forced to clean up the blood after you dreadsock them.
Would be nice after GW have done a few of these to get a few more lasting books, with the points stuff etc that is no longer important removed.
e.g. a scenarios book, a terrain/battlefields book and similar

Just noooo, keep that sort of unbalanced stuff away from points as someone will try and claim they areok for matched play rules.
The same has already happened with people trying to use the CA2018 charictor creation rules.

Quick question... haven’t bought CA2018 yet
Does it just have changed points at the back, or complete tables with all points listed (changed and unchanged)?
ie: can I build an army off of the CA2018 tables?

If I had 100 + Drukhari kits all in plastic to choose from, or 100 + Sisters kits, I think I'd be more likely to be receptive to Space Marine player's complaints about anything.

I don't want the best army, just one that isn't an exercise in picking up my models by turn 3.

CA 2017 does have the Fortification units data sheets. I still find it useful with all the Killteam terrain I've aquired.
