This is my 1500 Points of Necrons entering for a tournament. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!

I'll be taking two relics, The Voltaic Staff for the Cryptek and Veil of Darkness for the Mephrit Overlord.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
The strategy, which I like to call, is See You On Turn 1.

With using The Deceiver's Grand Illusion to deploy Wraiths and hopefully Warriors in front of the enemy. If rolling a 5 or 6, I'll also take a unit of Destroyers or Tesla Immortals depending on the opponent's army.

Using the Overlord's Veil of Darkness with the other unit of Immortals.

Then to use the Nephrekh Stratagem to deploy Destroyers in range of viable targets.

The other army lists in this tournament are mainly defensive Imperium Units with Castellan Knights but also a few Ork and Tau armies as well.

If my opponent gets first turn, I will be fielding my teleported units in cover. Scarab units will cover my deployment from any deep strike whilst my Overlord and Tesla Immortals/Destroyers will be advancing up to the center of the field to have line of sight to two objectives.

Nephrekh stratagem is for infantry only. Wraiths already advance 18" there, the stratagem would have been a waste anyway. You should max out destroyers and wraiths, perhaps drop an overlord and the outrider.

The Stratagem also works with swarms and I need to get them with the Deceiver into the enemy on turn 1 by using the Advance/Charge stratagem. Leaving them in deployment can only get them to the enemy by turn 2. I need the other detachment for the extra CP, Nephrekh Stratagem and the ability to move my swarms with maximum advancing.

I made a mistake, the second detachment is Outrider.

Though I agree that Overlord is a bit useless with no units to benefit from his My Will Be Done. I could replace with a Cryptek instead to assist the Doomsday Ark (placing the Ark in the Outrider Detachment) though, but I'll need to somehow reduce my army list by 8 points.

Get rid of the Wraith Particle Caster then I will need to somehow decrease by another 4 points.

Wraiths do not have the Swarm keyword. Scarabs do. Wraiths have the Beast keyword. Please re-read your codex.

Always try to max units, where possible. Especially if they have RP. This makes it harder for your opponent to kill that unit, and if forces him to do so, otherwise you can get models back. If you have an overlord you should have at least one maxed unit of immortals, to get the most from MWBD. One DDA is none, two are one, and three are two. Dont run only one DDA, you need at least two to compensate for the randomness of the D6.
