Hello all

I am not looking for weaponised zombies, rather the sorts of servitors that are in the background of 40k, primarily for adding to other models or as part of the terrain and background for battles.

Anyone know of good sources for them, or parts to cheaply and easily make them?

You said you're not looking for "weaponised zombies" - are you after something close to the existing GW ones?

Anvil have a good range of bionics, as do Kromlech. I made some Necroumnda Pit Slaves using Chaos Marauders with Kromlech saws & drills (amongst other parts)

I think the existing GW ones all carry heavy weaponry? So instead stuff like ones designed to only open large doors, or load wood into a furnace, that kind of dark craziness servitors seem to embody.

My servitors are made from Mantic zombies, with all the exposed bones/tendons repainted as metal cyborginess, the effect works pretty well. It's a versatile plastic kit and I imagine you'd be able to make some cool conversions by splicing the torsos into machinery for terrain and such.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

They're half & half: The 'Techmarine with Servitors' box has two heavy bolters & two servo-arms while the blisters have the older servo-arm models alongside the heavy weapons.

Some mixture of necron and Admech models? If you could.disarm some of the more augmented Admech troops.you could.replace with utility tools and claws and stuff.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I have used a blend of left over skittari/rustalker bits, guardsman (legs, torso) and AoS zombies for some goopier heads and limbs. They aren't perfect but they get the job done.
