Hello everyone,
I am here to seek some C&C on my list ideas. It is still a process in the working so I am open to changes, even though I am limited by my selection of miniatures since I am not planning to buy anything new (or used) for a while.

I am going to provide a crude skeleton of my list and then discuss why every unit is in there. The goal is to provide mobility and pressure while going for a mix of target saturation and "not so valuable" unit. Transports here are key. It should be a TAC list. Against shooty armies I will rush the board and try to tie the most unit as possible in combat (since my shooting is going to be worse probably), against melee armies my transport will provide a first line of "space control" making charging my "real" units harder. Then Guilliman will walk up to them and smash them to pieces, Avenging Son style.

Battalion 1
HQ Tigurius
HQ Captain, Jump pack, Thunder Hammer and relic: Sanctic Halo

TROOPS
1) Tactical Marines (5 men) plasma gun, chainsword&combi plasma for the sergeant.
2) Tactical Marines (5 men) plasma gun, chainsword&combi plasma for the sergeant.
3) Tactical Marines (5 men) plasma gun, chainsword&combi plasma for the sergeant.

Battalion 2
HQ Chronus (not sure about the vehicle yet)
HQ ???

TROOPS
1) scout squad with bolters
2) scout squad with combat knives
3) scout squad with sniper rifles and camo cloacks

TRANSPORTS
Razorback with twin assault cannons, storm bolters
Rhino 2xstorm bolters
Rhino 2x storm bolters

This leaves me around 1050 points to play with, with still a mandatory HQ and a vehicle for chronus to pick.
Guilliman and a squad of Vertus Praetor are kind of a must in my armies, their value is just too high to ignore.
That leaves me around 365 points.
Guilliman is mandatory only in a list where I can really make use of his aura and melee skill.

5 men Company Veterans with storm bolters and storm shields --> riding either in a drop pod or in one of the transports, shooting and charging is a valuable way to thin down any enemy and to be able to withstand their retaliation
5-8 men Sternguard --> sharing a drop pod with the company veterans or one trasport, they have a similar function to the company veterans but with a nice stratagem to back them up.
Dropping a captain next to them could also help those two squads, even more if he goes with the vigilus formation/trait.

Chronus could ride the razorback just to keep things cheap.
With the last points I need to fill an AT slot.
Giving chronus a predator tank full laser is way cheaper nowadays and will provide me with some reliable AT fire hitting on 2+ until he dies.
A dreadnought with lascannon and missile launcher could also fit in.
Maybe being able to squeeze in a couple of Devastator Squads with Plasmacannons, MLs and HBs could be really really sweet.

While writing this I feel like I could drop one of the two battalions (the scouts one, and move the HQ to form a Elite Detachment with something else for that nice +1 CP), the plasmaguys always paid them back in my games.

I still have a bunch of tactical marines with different weapons, some Vanguard veterans, a Landspeeder, member of the old command squad (banner, medic), a techmarine, a custodes banner guy, one more rhino/razorback and a stormraven.

What I could also do is to go full Victrix Guard and loadout a stormraven and the transports with elite guys with stacking buffs (traits, relic banner, stratagems) and throw them in the face of my enemies hoping for the best.

The best Marine unit you could take with Guilliman would be Hellblasters combined with an Ancient.

I wouldn't bother trying to get that second Battalion. Guilliman gives you an extra 3CP and you can regen one per turn. I would condense it down to one Battalion plus a Spearhead. Chronos in a Predator is a good idea, you could use him + 2x5 Hellblasters and another HS choice to make up a Spearhead.

Agree with Valkyrie, don't need the second Battalion. With Gilli you would have 11 CP. Also the Hellblasters with Banner, but you do not want to buy more units. Are you viable to get instead a devastator squad? You could use them instead of the Hellblasters and now plasma cannons are cheaper and with HB and ML you could have a couple of MW there.

Aldo the option of Dreadnoughts is pretty good.

Telling him to play last year's meta.

Now You want Bobby supporting repulsors (or better yet a castellan) with scout bikes to get board control and honor guard to keep your characters save.

So, yesterday I played a mechanized version of the list at 2500 points and I failed miserably due to playing perfectly in to the strategy of my opponent, a mono-custodes list with plenty of forgeworld, and thus I got rightly destroied. I am having a rematch the upcoming week to see if I could had fared any better, putting some thinking into the game.

Battalion

Tigurius
Chronus (predator tank, 2 lascannons, predator autocannon, storm bolter)

Troops

3x 5 men plasma/combi plasma

Elites

Dreadnought (missile launcher / twin lascannon)

Flyer

Stormraven (twin plasma cannon, hurricane bolters, heavy bolters, stormstrike missiles)

LoW

Guilliman

Vanguard detachment (victrix guard)

HQ Smash captain (thunderhammer, stormbolter, sanctic halo, jump pack) (field commander)

HQ Lieutenant

Elites

Company Ancient (+ the relic from vigilus)

8 men stenguard veterans (base loadout)

Company veterans (5x stormshield, 5 stormbolters)

Dedicated transport in general

2x Razorback storm bolter, twin assault cannon
1x rhino with 2 storm bolters
Drop pod

Auxilliary detachment
Vertus Praetor with Hurricane Bolters

My idea with this list was to aggressively grab the middle and take advantage of my mid range with guilliman and tigurius providing support.
I had a razorback flanking with the company veterans inside and on the other flank the vertus praetor.
1 drop pod was waiting with the stenguards, the ancient, the lieutenant.
I successfully managed to encircle my opponent and to attack him on all the flanks, before I started making stupid mistakes and I failed to achieve any tactical objectives (also due too placing my objectives too aggressively)
In my rematch I am going to try the same two list and make use of my higher mobility.

He had a big ball of golden death, with 4++ and -1 to hit. He got first turn too. He just walked up the table and started chipping away at my army with me failing to do much damage on return (the fact that his big dreadnought [the one with 14 w and T 8] passed eight 5+ FnP was not helpful). I also failed to cast null zone twice in a row with tigurius, yes even with rerolls.

Next time, I am going to try to split up the enemy to make the -1 to hit and the rerolls 1 to wound and hit easier to deal with.
