Subject: [2000] - Space Marines - All Dreadnought (well nearly) Viable?

Looking through my collection the other day I realised I have alot of dreadnought, they were one of the things that attracted me to space marines many years ago and I still love them to this day.
With the recent points drops on both Hulls and weapons they seem to be not to bad in the game for the first time in a long time so I decided to knock up a list using as many of them as I could.
So the questions are, is this actually viable? I see the main issue as getting locked in combat by hordes but what else would smash it without breaking sweat. I'm not looking to win any tournaments with this, just hoping that it might give me a good game or two.
Secondly which chapter to run them as, I'm happy playing them as any but think that either Ultra's, salamanders or Iron Hands (fluffyest) would be best.

You should remove unit and upgrade costs from the post(forum rules), and only have the overall visible.
They are very slow... Flamer dreadnoughts wont be firing a single shot I am afraid, and due to weapon choice no one isn't charing them unless really need to tie them up.

Not sure how viable, but new missions CA18 you need more troops.

Thanks for the points pointer, I've removed them.
The flamers are modelled on in most cases but are intended to be a charge deterrent, if the enemy isn't coming towards me then I'm reasonably happy anyway.
The missions could be an issue, but I don't think our local group will be playing them too often, we like to mix it up.
One option I'm thinking about is swapping the Sicaran for a Deredeo with Atomantic Pavaise. It plays up the all dreadnought vibe and give me a nice Invulnerable save bubble to cover my firebase.
I would need to buy one and I really like the plasma weapon but it has major range issues.

Deredeo's perform pretty well, especially since they get to benefit from Chapter Tactics. I prefer the Anvilus Autocannons myself.
If you need a delivery system for the more melee focused Dreads, you could always consider a Stormraven.

The Anvilus seems pretty good but quite expensive when compared to a standard/venerable double twin autocannon dread but it does have lots of extra bonuses other than pure firepower. The lascannons seem way to expensive, I just wish the plasma had a little more range but at 24 it doesn't seem usable on a platform that doesn't want to move.
The close combat dreads are more of a slow moving deterrent than an assault force, I want them to distract the enemy and intercept assault units whilst putting out a little firepower. Advancing them quickly would be useful but not necessary I don't think.

I'm really liking the look of this army and it has given me the excuse to add a Deredeo to my collection :-) I've added it into the list and swapped a couple of bits around as I had made a mistake on the autocannon dread cost. Also decided on Salamanders as I think their chapter tactic benefits the army most. The list puts out a fair amount of anti-infantry and anti-tank firepower backed up by alot of versatile firepower can can do a fair job at either, the scouts are there just to push out a screen and I have three dreads that pack a mean punch in combat. The techs should be able to keep my big hitters rolling and chip in as needed. Not going to smash a tournament but should be playable I hope ;-) Plus it has 9 dreads in it! As a Salamander player myself, I always liked the king of all Dreadnoughts himself, Bray'arth Ashmantle, if you ever wanted to run something crazy expensive.
And I know the Cyclonic Melta Lance is not an optimal weapon choice for the Levi, but combining it with Vulkan's aura makes it pretty deadly, it allowed me to one-shot a Gorkanaut in Overwatch

Just looked his rules up, hadn't noticed him in this edition as he wasn't in the dreadnought section on the index. F me he's a beast!
T9, 4+++, dam3 flamers.
If I hadn't just splashed out on the deredeo.....
The lance is nice but I don't have one, my levi is rocking just the Grav-flux and stormcannon, I can swap one out for a siege drill but they are pretty poor in CC so I don't see the point.
