The mythical dreadstorm occurs when anyone is foolish enough to attack the Salamanders fortress monestary on their homeplanet.


Vanguard detachment:

Bray'arth Ashmantle

4x Ironclad Dreadnoughts/w dCCW/hf, dCF/storm bolter, assault launchers

Spearhead detachment:

Chaplain Venerable Dreadnought/w warlord (anvil of Strength)

2x Relic Leviathan Dreadnought/w Double Storm cannon array and Hflamer

Contemptor Mortis/w Double Kheres Assault cannons
Contemptor Mortis/w Double Kheres Assault cannons and Cyclone missle launcher





So, 10 dreadnoughts, 5 CP to get reroll 1's venerable strat, salamanders rerolls, and very resilient to small arms fire. The melee power is off the charts as well. The ironclads are str14, bray'arth and the chappy are str 16.


Lots of firepower as well. 40 str7 -2, 2dmg and 24 str7 -1, 1dmg shots, plus 8 heavy flamers and a relic flamer, plus 6 storm bolters and the missle launcher.



Seems fun to play and will look amazing on the table.

Good luck against a ~200 model horde army.

How about the rule of 3?

Well this is just for fun. And the only model breaking the rule of three is one ironclad, which isn't hard to swap for a normal dread.

Also, while a 200 model hoard will be all over the board, the dreads should do pretty good actually.

The amount of shots they put up isn't small, and the melee is pretty decent too (if you have the reroll 1's strat).

I'd honestly would love to see a match between this dread list and a cultist horde f.e.
That would end in a bloodbath, but objectives would probably dictate the winner would be the swarm.

Then again you are allready winning by fielding this memeworthy list.

I like it, I run 3 dreads in my Deathwatch list and they generally do very well.
