I am still in the process of building my guard army. I'm going slow, because I'm magnetizing every option for every unit (screw you codex creep!), so I'm theory crafting. I managed to get a hold of these mini's https://victoriaminiatures.com/collections/character-miniatures/products/spanish-inquisition and want some help putting them in. How could I use these three Inquisitor models effectively? I am getting back into 40k since Guard were Guard, I sold my army to help pay for my last semester of college and now have the money to start a new, so I have no idea what to do with inquisitors, much less with guard.

Three? I could see one priest for my hoard, but I don't know if I could fit all three. I don't plan on using them often or having them win me any tournies, I was mostly wondering if there was a way to make them a separate detachment. Hopefully a deepstrike one.

Unfortunately, Inquisition aren't in a very good spot right now, rules-wise.
Fortunately, if you're taking one you may as well take three.

Inquisitors are useful for the following reasons:
Leadership buffs
Reasonably priced psychic support and Deny the Witch
They can be kitted out to be decent in melee
Some of the characters are genuinely good at the above reasons

They are bad for these reasons:
Not many Imperial armies actually need Leadership support, and it can be found cheaper elsewhere
Psychic support can be granted cheaper by Imperial Psykers
Melee support can be provided cheaper from a lot of places
You have to take three, pay a command point, or bring several useless Acolyte squads to legally bring them.

In other words, they suffer from Jack-of-all-Trades syndrome and from being stuck with index rules and no exemption from the first Big Faq. If you're already running 3 for fluff reasons, just treat them as cheap psychic bully squads.

One note: Dominate, the psychic power, is ludicrously good if you can use it on an Imperial Knight, especially a Dominus.

ouch, thanks for the info. I'm all of 2 HQs and a troop into my army so hopefully they will be useful by the time I get ready to play a big game.

I mean...
If we're being honest, you're not really going to be running any kind of competitive army with two HQs and a troop unit, so you might as well just play around with fun, silly lists until you can build up to something bigger. Fun novelty games can be some of the best 40k has to offer if you can find the right opponents.
