Welcome to the latest Blind Beggar Miniatures Kickstarter campaign: The Galactic Civilians!.
This campaign will, if successful, see the Galactic Civilians featured in this campaign go into production as 28mm scale miniatures cast in white metal,
The Civilians themselves have been deliberately made as generic as possible so that they can be used to represent pedestrians, corporate workers, innocent bystanders, officials or whatever you wish in pretty much any setting, be it a far flung outpost, a sprawling mega-city or a hive of grim and dark aspect, paint them how you will to fit them into your own setting.
Some examples of painted versions will be forthcoming as regular Updates during the campaign.
There are six civilian miniatures that we are attempting to fund at the start of the campaign, three male and three female and all Human. The Aliens will follow later, although there are some Aliens available amongst the additional Pack options (see Expanding The Crowd below).

Interesting set. Very... ...circular. Would be good Tau Sympathizers maybe?

It's a short KS, I'd like to see painted pics but I doubt they'll come in the next few days. But it's an interesting set with some cool add ons.

It is nice you can get the earlier KS items at a good rate.

All of the above figures either have 'slotta' base tabs (or an integral base), which have been designed to fit most types of plastic slotted bases.
That's important as the models look like they were designed at a time where this was a new thing.

Is Blind Beggar the group that did the Landing Bay 22 or whatever kickstarter previously? I feel like there have been a couple sci-fi civilian kickstarters and they've usually been pretty well received. I know I backed the last two.
Nope, that was Colony 87 and Return to Colony 87 by Jon Boyce

Last I heard Jon was planning a Colony 87 III but it was delayed from last fall. No date yet.

Thirteen hours to go. Not really in the cards for me, but someday I want these genetically engineered hound porters...
