Here is the set-up. I was Empire-Kislev & my son (17) was dwarfs. We use randomize placement for terrain and ended with (starting in upper left corner and going clockwise): swamp, ghost fence, wizards portal, another swamp, rock fence & a Sphynx.

A. 5 Pistoliers on top
B. 15 Empire knights with Battle banner
Steam tank (between knights & Streltsi)
C. 24 Kislev Streltsi

E. 24 Kislev Streltsi

Dwarfs #1
Most units move forward. In what was to be a disturbing trend, Kyle had good results with his shooting.
• Dwarf cannon takes out 2 knights
• Dwarf organ gun obliterates unit of 5 outriders (no survivors)
• Dwarf Ballista takes out 2 from Red Streltsi
Empire #1
Not wanting to risk failed charges empire moves up to be in position for next turn. This was beginning of a typical day of below average dice rolling for dad.
• Red Streltsi take out 3 Longbeards
• Green streltsi take out Longbeards
• Steam tank misses completely (no bounce)
• Great cannon misses w/ grape
• Volley gun has misfire (even with engineer) and misses
Dwarf #2
More shooting of cannons as infantry march up
• Yellow Thunder (handguns) kill 1 Green Streltsi
• Blue Thunder kill 2 knights
• Cannon fires grapeshot at pistoliers – killing 2
• Balista misses
• Flame gun takes out 1 knight
Empire #2:
Shootin’ and a chargin w/ mixed results
• Red Streltsi take out 6 Longbeards
• Steam tank takes out 4 longbeards
• Great cannon misses with grapeshot
• Volley gun takes out 7 longbeards
Longbeards are completely destroyed, except for attached army general who flees
Charges:
• Pistoliers capture dwarf cannon
• Empire knights charge and overrun Yellow Thunder
• Gen (& his gryphon) + 3 Demigryphs lock horns with Dwarf Slayers (taking a wound jumping a wall on the way) – they will be locked in mortal combat for most of the rest of the game (dwarfs unbreakable) . General got a duck, his gryphon killed 3, demigryph knights got 2, while their demigryphs got 7-slayers slay 1 demigryph
• Tordamir & his Gryphon Legion charge into a dwarf warrior phalanx. Tordamir gets scores & epic Heroic Killing Blow against a tough rune lord. his legion scores 7 kills; unfortunately, the dwarfs kill 8, leaving only Tordamir and his standard bearer alive, they disengage and regroup.
Dwarf #3
More casualties from shooting as the slayers fight on. Army General rallies.
• Flame cannon fires into flank of pursuing knights – killing 1
• In the gryphon-slayer contest: Empire general kills 1, Gryphon kills 4, Demigryph knights get a duck, where as the demigryphs kill 1. The dwarfs cause 2 wounds to demigryph but don’t kill anyone.
• The warriors try to charge Tordamir, but he escapes
Empire #3
• Strelts advance looking for targets
• Steam tank takes a hot at general and misses
• Great cannon takes shot at general and causes 1 wound
• Volley gun takes out 8 dwarf warriors
• Pistoliers dance around Blue thunders and kill 1
Combats:
• Knights turn to face flame cannon
• General (1 kill), Gryphon (3 kills), demigryphs (1 kill) keep whittling down Slayers who come up with a duck.
Dwarf #4
• In an epic fail, flame cannon overshoots and misses knight from close range
• Organ gun has better luck and takes out Tordamir and his standard
• The loan general charges into side of Red Streltsi, killing 4; streltsi reform into a deeper formation.
• In an even more epic fail, Empire General, his Gryphon & 2 Demigryph knights can only kill 1 of last 2 slayers in 15 attacks
Empire #4
• Steam tank takes out ballista
• Volley gun takes out 7 warriors; they grimly hang on
• Pistoliers continue to dance around Blue Thunder – shooting 1 in back
• General et all, finally kill last dwarf slayer, they turn to face organ gun
• Empire knights overrun flame cannon, but lose 2 as they crash into a ghost fence during pursuit
• Empire General continues his one man fight against Streltsi – killing 4 more
Dwarf #5
Not much left
• Blue thunder fires point blank into knights – killing 1
• Organ gun finishes off one of remaining 2 demigryphs
• General must be getting tired – he only kills 1 streltsi
Empire #5
• Great Cannon fires into last few warriors – killing 1
• Volley gun fires into warriors – killing 2; 3 survivors break and run
• General et all captres Dwarf organ gun
• Surviving knights charge Blue thunder, while Pistoliers charge them in rear; last 3 pistoliers are killed, but blue thunder is overrun
• Having had enough of pesky dwarf general, the steam tank decides to grind him under his treads.

I was impressed by the Kislev troops. It makes me want to break mine out of storage.

Sounds like it was a lot of fun.

I tried taking some, but seem to have had a camera malfunction. (the lighting in my garage where I play isn't very good)

And these Hussars totally fit in considering you were playing troops from Kislev and the Empire. A Kislevite young noble who went to Altdorf University to learn about these southerners' fancy new weapons technique...

It's the old tiny metal steam tank (4th? 5th?) with the turret from the 7th-8th edition one.

I got the steamtank on ebay several yeras ago. For a while. I used a 15mm German 88 AA gun turned sideways, which looked suprisingly OK. I got the turret a couple of months ago on line from a guy who sels "bits"
The tank commander is a Blackbeard figure. Iliked the way he was hoisting the beer in a toast-like gesture.

I like it. Plus, I have had them for many years and they were fun to paint!

And you would be most welcome. I have a few greenies from many years ago - but they haven't seen the light of day (is that healthy for Orcs?) since my oldest moved out about 10 years ago.
