I am thinking of buying a couple of boxes of the Jackal bikers in order to convert them to rough riders. Since I won't be using the quad I am wondering if GSC players will be interested in multiple of those. Can they use more then one in a squad?

No, you need to have 4 bikers to include a quad. So you would need 8 bikers to have 2 quads.

I could see them being useful for terrain, conversions, and other things though.

Most people won't be able to answer this question till the Codex comes out on Saturday. My assumption is that a squad has 4 bikes and 1 quad and that growing the unit involves adding another 4 bikes and 1 quad. I doubt there's much flexibility in that.

You could use the quads converted to counts-as Sentinels in your army...?

That's not a bad idea.

Also people will like them as conversion pieces and the like.

Yeah turning the quads into sentinels makes a lot of sense.

Also, there will be a plenty large eBay desire for them --- for all kinds of Necromunda gangs, Blanchitsu projects, non-40K gaming, etc. Plenty of desire, it's a brand new kit and a suitable kit for other games.

Thanks a lot for the answers. I guess I will convert them to ork bikers. And the sentinel idea is not a bad one at all.

Isn't there also some kind of forgeworld jeep piece for guard?

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

id just make them into the rough riders who are holding meltas/plasma. They arent that much bigger and it would make sense for the heavy weapon guy to have more stability.

The fun part is figuring out how you're going to make their spears! Thankfully I have a huge pile of old empire bits just for that

That Rough Rider idea ain't half bad. They look like they'd be easy to convert too.

Use them to make Heavy Weapons teams. Lascannon Quadbikes!

That would work nicely.

I think the quads are a bit small for a tauros though,
