Or called Star Blazers in America.
1. What are design concepts, cultural, historical or political allegory behind this or a sorce of inspiration? Why the ship has 'shorter' retractable wings (used only in atomopsheric flight mode, not in deep space nor when submerged... this ship was later redisigned to be submersible as its crew discovered)
2. Why the early concepts of Lord of the Flies in Space shot down and replaced with something similar to Argo and Jason quest?
3. In all three seasons. there are quests given by, or meeting with a blonde alien 'goddesses'. the first was one that gave an FTL engine schematic to mankind and instruct them to build a ship and arranged a meeting between human delegates and herself in Iscandar, the engine is capable of a round trip travel between Earth and Iscandar within a 1-year deadline! (in this instance. A wreck of IJN Yamato is chosen to be restored and fitted with this new engine. What are the these alien divas an allegory of? or are they an analogy to an actual Argo voyage to Colchis? And Who on earth Reiji Matsumoto modelled these alien women after? any real life popstars or hollywood legends or his wife (who said to be 'Mother of Shojo' genres, also inventor of Licca doll)
4. Intro song. Did it has any referrence to actual Imperial Japanese Navy marches, signals or songs. is there any naval 'departure' chorus exists or ones used by IJN?

The First Seasons are more iconic than the second and the third 'Disco' ones

I could not answer any of your questions, Lone Cat, but do remember this series being mentioned in Nadescio.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

Sorry for late.

But if Hollywood is to make Star Blazers (American brandings of Space Battleship Yamato animated series in 70s) in English as live action movie.
1. What are acceptable revised storyline? should it be trilogy and what should be omitted and should any elements from 2199 be imported as well?
Is 'Gamillas being Iscandarian' (and vice versa) concept presented in 2010 live action movie a good or bad idea?

2. Cast lists please.
(and background if American character names are to be used instead, i'd prefer Wildstar brothers to be Navarro native since Leiji Matsumoto designed them to look alot like that, and Nova Forrester being blonde)
