I'd definitely consider adding some anti armour shooting if you can, atm the only real anti tank weapon you have is the autarch's fusion pistol.

I take it the avengers are going in the serpents? In which case I'm not sure they need them, either put something that needs to be delivered in there, such as fire dragons or wraithguard, or swap the serpents for fire prisms, either option would give you some anti armour shooting.

I'd also go for all shuriken cannons on the serpents, especially if you're taking vectored engines, same goes for the windriders as well, so you can still advance and shoot them.

Thanks for the info! Gives me some good things to think about. These models were all bought around the time the Ynnari were created, so they seemed very good for 7th edition. Doesn't seem they are all that great for 8th unfortunately.

They aren't bad units as such, there's a use for pretty much everything in the codex, it's just that taking them all together leaves you a little lacking in anti armour shooting.

If you added a few more units to the mix you could chop and change things as needed and it would give you a bit more flexibility.

For anti armour shooting specifically I would look at getting 1 or 2 of the following:

Fire dragons
Fire prisms
Crimson hunter
Hemlock wraithfighter
Wraithguard
Dark reapers

They all work differently but can all do a job against tanks.

With the scatter lasers, they used to be the best option in 7th but the go-to weapon is now shuriken cannons, as they're assault and not heavy. You can certainly still use scatters if you want though, they'll work fine in casual games

If you want to keep using scatter laster bikes you might want to shuffle them over to a Saim-Hann detachment. Or swap guns if that’s an option.

Besides that I’ll agree that the lack of AV fire could be an issue.
