I have it magnetized, and I have twin devourers on it now. But, would a Venom Cannon be better? Or would a completely different weapon be best?

Thanks in advance (and hopefully this is the last Tyranid question I'll have today).

Quad devourers is the meta pick.

I run HVC and Rending Claws because I like it, but it's not really optimal. Specialisation is better than generalisation in this game after all.

Quad devourers is strong, but there is an argument for twin devourers and rending claws. Which one is better is heavily dependent on your list. Monster heavy lists tend to like to use rending/devourers because they often bring quad devourer equipped Carnifexes. Melee heavy lists like Genestealer builds prefer the extra shots from the quad devourers. It is worth mentioning that the relic bonesword and the relic venom cannon are both solid weapons. If you are magnitizing it is not a waste of time to do up a bonesword and a venom cannon.

I run MRC+ Twin Brainleeches Many other do as well. It will really come down to your personal "style". How you play your Tyrants makes one "better" than the other. Also the Hive Fleet can make a differance as well. Magnets are our friends.

The will of the hive is always the same: HUNGER

I fly mine with the relic miasma cannon and MRC. I realize it's not the optimized option, but I've really come to value having a strength 9 weapon that auto hits within 8" and always wounds nonvehicles on 2+. Its turns the flyrant into a great character killer/vehicle hunter/elite killer, while giving him a bit of anti-charge firepower.

Miasma Cannon is nice, but as I'm playing Kraken I just can't pass on Chameleonic Mutation. Especially as any Hive Tyrant will be a bullet magnet, CM combined with deployment next to my Venoms makes a massive difference in the chance it survives a turn to do anything haha

Twin Devourers and MRC, considering the usual Hive Fleet most Nids player would be using is the Kraken, it is the loadout that benefits the Flyrant best. As it can fall back, shoot and charge at will, this loadout facilitate both shooting and combat.

Twin Devourers and Monstrous Rending Claws. Gives you a nice utility. I have run them before with double Twin Devourers, but usually regret not taking some CC weapon when it eventually gets charged.

Quad devourers for me since the flyrants role in my army is clearing a path for the the rest of the army to charge.

24 shots will clear the screens where 12 might not.

I do 1 of each, for a good reason, at least IMO a good reason.

1 Flyrant with 2 Devs, -1 to hit Relic Psychic Scream, this is to put out a enough dakka to kill trash but also to have the range and ability to live and do 2 MW shots

1 Flyrant with MRC and 1 Dev, MRC are cheap and effective
