Recently finished a tourney and did some major tweaks to my list. It comes down to this final draft. I find it to be very balanced and like where it sits. Typically it goes as follows:

-Cultist blob screens. Tide of traitors when numbers run low.

-2 CSM units camp objectives/in cover. Benefiting from the new rapid fire rules that Marines get. And I can utilize the missile launcher stratagem to try and get mortal wounds on fly units.

-Slaanesh sorcerers main mission is providing FNP 5+ with delightful agonies on the cultist blob.

-Armigers/Princes/Ahriman/Decimator do all the tough killing with their shooting and magic.

-Chaos lord provides a nice defense or offense depending on the matchup. He can go in reserve and land by my cultists who may Tide of Traitors at a location and benefit from the chaos lords reroll ones paired with my mass cultist shooting from wherever they come out. Or he just sits back.

Been very surprised with how well the decimator does. As part of the Thousand Sons detachment he benefits from a lot of their magic buffs. Which I tend to give him -1 to hit on him or +1 to his invulnerable save depending on which TS power I take. And even temporal manipulation where I can heal him D3 wounds, on top of his infernal regeneration of healing once per turn anyway. I also find that adding prescience making his BS 2+ rerolling ones when near a daemon prince from TS, I feel it makes him very consistent with his two soul burner petards. That thing has been producing a consistent 7-11 average mortal wounds per shooting phase for me.

Any thoughts? I’m open to criticism. I’m happy where the list sits but any suggestions that anyone feels would make it better is always welcome. I recently got back into 8th edition so I’m trying to figure things out competitively. Thanks for your time!
