On a Canoptek Spyder's Waiting List

So I have been struggling to find a nice small army to start for my next one and came up with something like this for the Tau as a starting point. I have some Tau models from 6th and looking to expand on it with some of the new additions.

Wondered if I can get some pointers on this list from fellow Tau players. Not looking for anything super competitive but looking for something somewhat fun to play that packs a punch. Also not sure what Sept is best for this list.

I put the Ethereal in there to buff the troops around him, the Cadre to also provide buffs as they are both somewhat cheap choices. And then went heavy on Commander to go hunting around the field with his impressive 20" movement.

Broadsides in there to provide some Anti-tank support and some pathfinders to light things up and assist.

The stealths are to go run around and be generally sneaky.

Any pointers would be fantastic.

You have to be Dal'yth Sept to run the Dynamic Mirror Field. There's not much point putting the Shield Drone with the Commander. The Drone will never keep up. The Guardian Drones are also wasted points. I would take all of your 1 off and 2 off Drones here and there and combine them into one unit in Fast Attack. I'm not sure why you put Target Locks on the Broadsides. They really shouldn't be moving. You'd be better off with Velocity Tracker to help against Fly or Shield Generator to increase their durability.

Not bad but I usually don't like the single drones as they are kind of a pain to track and make for easy killpoints if thats a game mode you play; on the upside they are a pain for the enemy to deal with as well.

Core choice of units seems good, with both a fireblade and an ethereal I'd almost suggest running more Firewarriors but that might just be personal preference.

Since you are playing stealths with a single fusionblaster and HRR Broadsides you would greatly benefit from Sa'cea sept! Split the broadsides and they each get to reroll a shot each turn, which makes HRR pretty good. Also now all of those single drones get to reroll a shot since they count as their own unit after deploying.

I'd probably still take the drones off of the strike teams and instead give each Shas'ui a marker light, then give the broadsides some more drones for protection and/or make a small 4-6x Gundrone squad which can deepstrike on the stealth suits turn 2.

If you go with Dal'yth sept I'd 100% take the target locks off of the broadsides, they'd want to stand still and gain cover...however, I think Sa'cea offers a lot more than the mirror field would and engram neurochip on a fireblade is usually a good choice.
