Looking for some squig alternatives as my Ork force is made up of mostly older models and I only have two Bomb squigs in the 200+ models.
Anyone have some god ideas for alternatives that are affordable?
Not really interested in sculpting some from green stuff myself.
Cheers,
CB

What price point would you consider to be affordable?
I hear Games Workshop might have released one or two squig-themed kits recently...

DV8,
I would not be interested in purchasing squigs at GW retail prices. I was wondering if anyone knew of some small plastic toys that might serve.
Cheers,

Ive been looking at doing a squig based army for a bit now and I can tell you the options are slim.
Ramshackle has some that may/may not work for you. Couple of the main resin bits companies have offerings at about the same price as GW. Black hat used to have some metal guys that look to be pretty ok but they look to have gone OOP and I can't find any.
Convertible toy-wise I haven't found much either.

http://all4wargames.com/product/squigs-alternate-model/ was all I could find. $22.50 USD for 7 (just over 3 bucks each, 4 bucks CAD). Not much of a savings if you consider that for $55 CAD you get 10 squigs and 2 gobbo handlers from GW - minus 15% buying it from a non- GW source and you're barely saving any money at all.

Some nice links, but as noted still as costly as GW. You would think there was some other little toy monster that only ran on two legs and had a round body...alas there seems to be none.

Note: All4Wargames is pretty much a site that copies/recasts FW resins and sells for a little less. They are still using a photo of one of my Elysian Command sections on their website despite being asked to remove it, as I do not wish to be associated with plagiarism. The Squigs they sell look like their own sculpt, but it might be a copy of someone else's work.

I have a suspicion these share a common squigly ancestry, if it's cheap lil' orcish critters you're looking for: http://shop.ramshacklegames.co.uk/index.php?id_product=38&id_product_attribute=0&rewrite=20mm-biker-gang-11-models&controller=product (search 'dunger' for plenty more of them)
