This has been bugging me for a couple weeks now. Some decent googling has not revealed the answer to my question.

In the 90's, and I can't remember how late, but probably decently late there was a short lived cartoon based around some teenagers who were galactic adventurers. As best as I can remember they had a mixed CGI/normal animation cartoon, and they occasionally piloted mecha in a couple of different primary colours. An episode or two were based around a 'Bazaar" esque trading world.

I can't find a single image, mention, reference to this show...and it's kiling me.

It's not Exo-Squad, not the awful Battletech show. It would have been between probably 95-99. I haven't found it on any lists, or compilations. I don't recall much other than enjoying the fact that mecha were involved in a Saturday morning (?) cartoon. Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

Nope, not a clue.

May not have made it over this side of the Atlantic if it was short lived?

Yeah, it's probably why I'm struggling to find it - even searching for "failed or canceled 1990's cartoons" etc. It wasn't very long lived because I would have remembered it, and it would have had some vague purchase in nostalgia for more people. It was arguably decent CGI at the time, for mid-late 90's. Not anywhere near as bad as the atrocious Battletech cartoon effort.

The mecha were very Vulture-esque if you're familiar with Battletech, and I can picture them attacking or defending a ship or shuttle on the Bazaar-world. This is maddening.

Definitely not Megas --- wasn't proper anime etc. Very poor typical US animation with random CGI effects (notably only when they got in their mecha, since no one did decent CGI humans at that point, but blocky robots were fine).

Can’t be Roughnecks then, the Starship Poopers series.

Only other one rattling around is Bots Master, but I don’t recall giant Mecha in that?

Nope, it's none of the well known stuff like Starship Troopers, etc.

Of all the shows canceled before their time, I regret this one the most.

Yeah, sadly not Xyber 9 - that's the first one I saw on some lists, and my brother suggested.

I feel there may have been a "nauts" in the title...but that doesn't yield any results either. I may just have to drink heavily and forget about this cartoon existing or it will haunt me.

Yep, 100% that's it...and that's why I couldn't find it. I had no recollection of it being live-action/CGI...so my searching for cartoons was what was throwing me off. Absolutely the thing I was thinking of. Thanks Red!

EDIT: I only ever remembered the CGI mecha portions
