Can Grey Hunters be used as decent fighting force or are there there really just to fill out the Battalion requirement of 3 troops choices? In other words, is it worthwhile to outfit them with special weapons or just all Bolters and Chainsords to keep points low?

Thanks

There is a space wolves tactics thread in the tactics forum.

All of your SW threads could easily be moved there, and you would get a more appropriate audience as well as better feedback.

You're essentially asking, "how do i play space wolves," and that is a topic that is going to produce discussion and require multiple different lines of discussion. Discussing Grey Hunters is going to logically lead to a discussion about transports, etc.

Also, Grey Hunters suck.
