Supreme Command Detachment (1cp)
- Bloodmaster
- Bloodmaster
- Daemon Prince of Khorne w/Wings & Axe (Skullreaver)

Summary (10cp total)
The idea is to use the plague bearers to screen the rest of the army as it moves forward.

The Bloodmasters and Daemon Prince are there to give some punch up close. Bloodmasters are surprisingly effective in assault for their cost. 3 DPs also can throw out some decent hits. Skullreaver in the hands of the Khorne DP is STR 10, AP -4, D6 dmg with 5 attacks (+1 attack, +1 str first round of fighting) . As an added bonus, it rerolls wounds against titanic units, and wounds of a 6+ do D3 bonus mortal wounds. How does this do against a knight?
(35/56 hit * 8/9 wound * 3.5 damage) + (35/56 hit * 1/6 * (1/3*1/6 missed attacks rerolling 6s) * 1.5 mortal wounds) * 6 attacks = 20.09 wounds (~2 of them mortal) . On average, it won't kill a knight in 1 round, but it will leave it crippled.

The Scarab Terminators and horrors are anti-horde. The terminators will be getting advantage of the 'bolter discipline' rule when it comes out -- letting them have a lot more board control. 40 bolter shots still are not bad. If the Tzeentch DP is near them, they get to reroll 1s to hit. There are also 60 horror shots as well. The horrors and terminators will be held in reserve and used to deep strike in as the rest of the plague bearers get close.

The exalted flamers and hellfyre racks give anti-armor. This area feels slightly weaker than other anti-armor.

There are 6 psykers. (DP, DP, Fluxmaster, 2 * Terminators, Horrors). While 3 of them have mini-smite, it's still a lot of powers going off each turn.

It's an interesting list I'd just make a couple of changes. Swap the nurgle DP for a poxbringer and bilepiper; put a banner on the plaguebearers. Extra strength is useful on plaguebearers and banner and bilepiper means 1/3 times they're regenerating models rather than loosing them to morale.

You only get 1CP for supreme command.

I've been running 10 SOTs recently with beta bolter rules and they almost always make their points up plus they're deceptively tough.

So you think this is better than running spoilpox? I get the 30% of getting models back, which is awesome. Is that better than 2" more move a turn?
What is the value in your mind for a poxbringer?

Thanks for the catch. The list has 10CP total.

I've been playing a lot lately with deathwing, and the SOT are just flat out better, and roughly the same price. (due to 15 point CMLs!). When compared to imperial terminators, they get the following perks
* -2 AP with bolters
* Force weapon on sorcerer
* Comes with psyker (with mini smite, but just take weaver of fates, glamor of tzeentch or tzeentch'es firestorm)
* Can move and shoot heavy weapons.
* Add 1 to saves for D1 weapons (moderately effective, most high ap weapons do more than 1 damage)
Using these guys is kind of a no-brainer. They bring a lot of anti-infantry firepower to the table.
Edit : Looking at this more, why would you not instead bring 2 five man squads? You get another psyker for only 4 more points.

Next to a keyboard.

There are some benefits in a blob of 10 SOC instead of 2x five if you want use the Dark Matter Crystal or Warp Time on them (they are very slow) and other psi.

2x five is more flexible, e.g. take two mission targets etc.

I think running all 3 is the way to go, spoilpox, poxbrinnger and bilepiper. Poxbringer makes them Str 5 and cast miasma of pestilence to make them -2 to hit in big units. When they are str 5 with spoilpox you have a decent chance of bringing down some fairly big units with them. And they are really reliable against toughness 4 units.

As others have said I run SOTs 10 together to get the most out of VotLW, Prescience and dark matter crystal. They will wipe a unit of boys off the board or take out 3 units of guard. Other good anti infantry is what my t son/daemon list lack (mainly because I run plaguebearers/bloodletters rather that tzaangors). I tend to hide them at deployment, dark matter crystal turn 1, put them in cover near the centre of the board and cast glamour of tzeentch on them. They're a great unit and really resilient.
