This is the first list that I've made with the intention of it being competitive. In fact, I made an account on here for the sole purpose of getting constructive feedback on this list!

At one point I considered dropping the daemon prince for another hq and taking a land raider instead of the predator. However, I'm not confident that this is worth doing.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

First question is, what is your intention with this list? What do you want it to do?

Second, I'd suggest dropping the extra marines and just run MSU. The extra bodies aren't needed. Neither is the icon, they're extremely situational.

This will free up more room for other units. I'd suggest a lord for rerolls. Daemon princes' are wasted doing aura babysitting. You want them to charge up and get in melee where they are the most useful. If you have any fast units such as spawn or bikes, even a rhino, put them with the prince and run him up the board, let them soak damage for him. Also, if you have any, Helbrutes are fairly good for AL as they also get the -1 to hit and are fairly good gun platforms, more reliable than preds from my experience and cheaper.

AL works well for gunlines due to their hit modifier. Play to that strength.

First of all, The intention was to create a list that would deal with the vast amount of deathguard players in my local area whilst being versatile enough to deal with aeldari running rings around me.

After little thought, running minimum units of marines is something I can agree with. Along with removing icons to free up points.

I have never considered Helbrutes before; they sound a lot more attractive now.

I am currently revising the list and will post it when finished.

I'd do the Helbrute either as a gun platform or a CC platform. This way the Fire Frenzy Strat is totally worth it. Personally I love the Missile Launcher and Plasma Cannon mode. You have range, you have punch on your shots, and you can effectively get 2xD3 Plasma Shots and 2x Missile Launcher shots each turn for 96 pts.

Or, Just do 2 DCCW for 100 pts, and run him straight at them with the DP.
With the amount of points that you could save on them being 96-100 pts, you could drop the Rhino and take 2 of them then.

Just some ideas. I honestly want to run 20 of them if I could.

At first I thought that I would need the rhino to get my melee marines into the fight quickly. Then I remembered that I am alpha legion and get the deepstrike stratagem.

Thanks for the ideas. I wont bother posting the new list unless requested as the changes are relatively minor.

Actually, never do double DCCW on hellbrute, it's intentionally gimpimg yourself. With a recent FAQ, ALL model have a ''Close combat Weapon'', so a hellbrute with only 1 fist or flail effectively has 2 melee weapon to benefit from his +1 A rule. And personally, I like him with the plasma cannon. If you manage to hurt yourself, you now have a 1/6 chance to immediately shoot again. It's not much, but it's there, and honestly, with the kind of weapon people throw at helbrute, it's not one wound that's going to make a difference. Either it gets shot at and it dies, or it's ignored.
