Hey everyone! Looking for help with making some lore for a campaign. Is there a list of the regions that Old Terra was made up of and what they're called in 40k? Like what region would the Roman Empire have been called? Or the United States/North America?

Thanks!

is a good primer.

Himalayas - imperial palace
Australia - Ecclesiarchal palace
Antarctica - fortress of the inquisition

Hive regions referred to are Hybrazil (south america), Panpac dust plains (what was the pacific islands)

As of 30k, Rome (or Roma) was still a place, and presumably still is.

Carrion Throne is set on terra so might add a few other places.

Termagants expended for the Hive Mind: ~2835

Yndonesic Bloc which was next to the asiatic dustfields where the raven guard were recruited.
The 1k sons were from the achaemenid empire. Which was the Persian area.
Albyon was the British Isles.
Roma i suspect was old Italy.
Gyptus was old Egypt, Nordafik is mentioned a bit. Ursh was prolly Mongolia. Caucasus Wastes was Turkey, Russia area.
America was just called merica. When its mentioned in the little bits at the start of heresy novels.

"Anatoly" is Anatolia (the geographic term for the area occupied by modern Turkey) I think Italy has been referred to as the "Talian peninsula", for sure the Med sea is then the "Mediterranean dust bowl" and North Africa is very nebulously occupied by the Nord Afrik conclaves. Greece is under Beotia.

As of the more recent FW HH books, Old Albia is the name of the British Isles. I think "Albyon" was only mentioned in a single Black Library book.

The FW description for Old Albia couldn't possibly be anywhere else (on the edge of the Atlan wastes- the Atlantic, Albania is closer to Boetia), and Albia comes from the same Albion route as Albyon.

Most of the early Terrans, yup Along with some Terran Iron Hands and another Legion I can't remember.

I don't know if recruitment regions on Terra were maintained into the Great Crusade though- it is possible that Albians served in other Legions. Post-Heresy, Imperial Fists have recruitment rights on Terra, so they will likely include a few "Brits".
