60 guardsmen, 18 flaggellants, 10 crusaders, priests, company commanders, 2 astropaths, 10 veterans list below.

Strat: Basic idea is to fill the backfield with 3 guard squads to screen backfield and have the other 3 running up the middle screening(move, move, move). Flagellants and crusaders sprint up with hospitallers picking up some on the way and astropath buffing crusaders to 2++. Uriah jacobus is there for leadership boost and make sure everything is getting the +1 attack with the preacher. Might work better with catachan guardsmen but I don’t expect any of the 30 guys moving forward to be left alive and vostroyan rapid fire at 15 inch and they are the models I have.

3 plasma in the infantry and veterans with 3 plasma is just to create another target besides the flaggellants.

9 CP + regen will mostly go towards moral, take cover and extremis trigger word.

Does anyone think this would work? Or will I just be mowed down for the emperor.

Even with a 2++ the Crusaders aren't going to do much. Weight of fire will just whittle them down while they're sloggin across the table.

Well it takes on average 12 bolter shots to kill just one guy, so 120 rounds to wipe out the unit. They will tank a lot, i'd be happy if all those shots went into them.

Also they can bring one guy back up on a 3+ with acts of faith and hospitaller revives on a 4+. Also they get a 4+++ against psychic powers with an act of faith in the opponents turn. Also the hospitallers can deney a power within 24 on a 4+ with a strategem. So they won't really be going down to smite spam either.

As someone who also plays frothing at the mouth close combat footguard I love this list. I think it’ll be great fun and will catch some opponents off guard (pardon the pun).

I think you should definitely go catachan and grab stracken as his +1 A buff combines so well with the priest. You could also swap out the crusaders and vets for some Bullgryns as I think they’ll do the same thing but better.

I don’t know much about the archo-flagellants etc but my question would be how do you deal with big stuff like monstrous creatures and vehicles? At the moment I support my guard and Bullgryn with tank commanders. I don’t know if that’s the best option but with battle cannons and the catachan doctrine it works quite well.

Good luck with this though! It’ll also give you so fun conversion opportunities.

Honestly I'm trying to work stuff out because I think any vehicle right now is toast unless it has an invul save so i'm not keen on taking any from the guard codex.

The acro's do 81 attacks str 4, -1ap with a strategem and they do have 2 wounds and a 5+++ but I think the problem is they are too slow. I mean they will rip through hordes in melee but against shooting they are so weak.

I know bullgryns are good but I really hate the models. Think are are a bit goofy. Probly just have to bite the bullet and use them.

Tank commanders are just so easy to wipe out. Wish there was something with an invul. If you play someone who knows what they are doing those tank commanders go down so fast and you can't do anything about it. And if the infantry get cleared out and they get locked in combat games over.
