Putting together some terrain for an evil laboratory themed Kill Team board, and things in jars of fluids are pretty synonymous with labs.

Here’s a brain in a jar and a big tyranid thing in a tube.

It’s going to have a white porcelain scheme for the floor, and some flickering LEDs under the fans when it’s done. The fluid was just water with a tiny amount of ink added.

Base floor done. The hatch is magnetized for sticking the brain jar on and off. More magnets will hold the battery and LEDs in place.

I think I’m going to theme it around the Genestealer Twisted Helix Cult, using one of their Drill Gantries as the base building. So this will be the specimens in jars area, and up on the second floor will be...I dunno, zombies or something. Genestealer zombies, why not. The drill can get repurposed as an elevator.

What are you using for fluids?

It’s water with a very small amount of ink, less than a drop.

Put an LED under the specimen tube for maximum spooks.

Love it. Good stuff the LEDs work. You may want the room to use source lighting to add that extra little spice. That's hard to do however and you need to pay attention to light sources, given you have loads of sharp right edges to paint.. it may be simpler to skip light sources. If you can pull it off might be something really special however.
