Well, not a lot of news. Basically an explanation of what is going on, a little more depth in to the setting, and explaining some of the issues they have been having/why it has taken so long. They were showing a lot of footage but I am not sure if any of it was new to us. At least it breaks radio silence, sounds like they are putting in time on the game.

They said back during the big gameplay video that they had a lot of quest and area work to do. So the quiet hasn't been surprising. I suspect they'll build up to some sort of announcement or video at E3. (June)

Somewhat more worryingly, the narrative director bailed in January for a Blizzard job, and they recently got a new design director for the game (though he was witcher 3's game director). It's also was a little worrying when big roles change hands while a game is still in progress, especially one of this size.

The footage is all either from the trailer, or from the long gameplay video that they released several months ago. The gameplay video is from the same section of the game that was showed at E3. And if you haven't seen *that* video, then you need to go check it out.

Yeah, I don't know how worried I am about that honestly. I also think that guy is an idiot for bailing to a sinking ship.....

I have seen it. I don't remember them showing the Male/Female Character Creation areas and a few other things. There are a couple other things that I didn't recognize from the playthrough.

Eh? They just had a year of record profits.
Granted, they just turned around and fired a whole passle of people, but as a company Blizz is still happily afloat on a sea of money.

World of Warcraft still apparently has roughly 1.7 million subscribers (based on a leak last October; so it might be inaccurate). I've heard rumors that the other Blizzard properties are experiencing troubles. But even if that's true, the subscription numbers alone are a huge chunk of money. While there have apparently been complaints about BfA, there are still more people playing WoW than any other paid subscription MMORPG (I suspect that FFXIV is in second, with around 750,000 confirmed).

In any case, the game will come out when its ready. CDPR is no doubt aware that a lot of people have high hopes both due to the company's reputation, and the property itself (well-done cyberpunk is popular even if it's not a tie-in to an old pencil and paper RPG). I think it's safe to say that at least a certain percentage of the player base will be disappointed (and would have been disappointed no matter what CDPR released). But I suspect that CDPR is trying to be very careful that it doesn't screw up its first big post-Witcher game.

This game looks amazing. I am pretty hyped for it.

As some of you may have heard, the North American PS4 release apparently has some censorship that's not present in other versions of the game. Reportedly, strategically positioned lens flare kicks in during a scene with a naked woman who's not facing the camera. As a result of this, there's speculation that the PS4 release of Cyberpunk may suffer some censorship.

However, there's apparently a later scene in DMC that has similar lens flare censorship, and this second scene is reportedly censored on all platforms in all regions. So I'm not sure how much of this is due to Sony's influence, and how much is due to Capcom.

Wait, what? If thats the case then I ain't buying it. I have an xbone and ps4 but I play ps4 pretty exclusively I find it to be the better of the two consoles. But I can't do censorship on the level you suggest could be. I really have a problem with where censorship is going in games. Like no swastikas present in battlefield v and cod ww2. Things are getting ridiculous.

http://ladygaganow.co/news/2019-lady-gaga-cyberpunk-2077-e3/

Spoiler:
Apparently Lady Gaga has joined forces with CD Projekt Red to work on their upcoming game, Cyberpunk 2077.

According to Actugaming.net Lady Gaga has recorded some motion-capture sessions in studio with the Polish game house in the past months, and may appear on the game as a regular character. What we know for sure is that the collaboration will be announced during the upcoming E3 2019, which will take place June 11-13 in Los Angeles.

The rumor about a collaboration between Lady Gaga and CPR started last September when the game house replied to an old tweet dated November 2012.

This is not the first time an international artist collaborates with a game house. Florence Welch made an amazing redemption of Stand By Me for Final Fantasy XV, Marshmello played the very first in-game-concert on Fortnite, Imagine Dragons wrote a song for League of Legends and David Bowie allowed his facial traits to be replicated on The Nomad Soul.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on Pc, Playstation 4, Xbox One and most likely on the upcoming new Playstation and Xbox coming later this year.

So, looks like the old retweet actually meant something. Or maybe it is just hot air again. I am just excited for some sort of news that this game is still working on things. If the rumor is true, it will be interesting to see if she plays a role in the game or if she is just background noise for clubs or game scenes.

I admit, I find the idea of Lady Gaga doing motion capture for a cyberpunk game both hilarious and fitting.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Well, cyperpunk the pen and paper RPG (which this is derived from) had 'Rocker' as one of their character archetypes. Music and media were always big deals in the setting material.

I suspect she will be one of the past icons of the in-world music scene, often popping up in digital advertisements in game.

Alternately, an up and coming rocker that becomes one of the player's contacts.

Yeah, Lady Gaga's style, constantly pushing the boundaries of fashion with her outfits, fits perfectly into a Cyberpunk world.

The Laws of Thermodynamics:
1) You cannot win. 2) You cannot break even. 3) You cannot stop playing the game.
