I have two lists I am looking at to start an escalation league. Looking for pointers. Both are patrols, as league rules require.

List 1:

HQ - Primaris Captain; MC Stalker bolt rifle, Power Sword, WT Storm of Fire
Primaris Lieutenant; MC Stalker Bolt Rifle

Troops - Intercessor Squad; 4X Bolt Rifle, Power Sword on Sergeant
Intercessor Squad; 4X Stalker Bolt Rifle, Power Sword on Sergeant

Elites - Primaris Ancient; Standard of the Emperor Ascendant
Reiver Squad; 5X Heavy Bolt Pistol/Combat knife, Grapples


List 2:


HQ - Primaris Captain; MC Stalker bolt rifle, Power Sword, Armor Indomitus, WT Storm of Fire

Troops - Intercessor Squad; 4X Stalker Bolt Rifle, Power Sword on Sergeant

Elites - Reiver Squad; 5X Heavy Bolt Pistol/Combat knife, Grapples

Fast Attack - Inceptors; Assault Bolters


Options: Primaris Captain in Grav, Primaris Lieutenant w/ Auto Bolt, Intercessor Squad w Bolt Rifles, Intercessor squad w/Auto Bolt, Reiver Squad w/Carbines and Grav Chutes, Inceptors w/Plasma, Repulser, Hellblaster Squad w/ Standard Plasma

Hey;

A few quick pointers

Reivers will never kill their points back at 500pts, run literally anything else.

List 1 is closest for its board control alone

Stalkers? cost too much; for not enough dakka. skip, their rate of fire will prove them less effective than the standard rifles. should also avoid pairing long range loadouts with a melee weapon, this will be good advice whatever points you're playing. applies to Capt too.

2 HQs is too many points spent on solo miniatures. especially with ancient too.

try to include either hellblasters for some anti-tank or more inceptors. intercessors may just be best though; get bodies on the pitch.

take the free aux grenade launcher. its free. and youre low on AV threats
