Remind me. If there are 2 buffs (not equipment) that provide +1 damage and x2 damage (e.g. Locus of Virulence and psychic Virulent Blessing). Which one gets applied first? Thanks.

BRB Page 175, "Modifying Characteristics" sidebar. If you have a +1 to S and a x2 to S, you apply the x2 first then add 1.

Also keep in mind that as per the Designers Commentary, you apply Base Characteristics Modifiers first, then apply Weapon Characteristic Modifiers after. e.g. If you have a +1 to S and a S: x2 weapon and are S4 base, you apply the +1 to your Strength first, then apply the x2 from the weapon, despite that contradicting what the "Modifying Characteristics" sidebar states.

Broken Sig Disclaimer: My YMDC answers are from a "What the rules, as written (or modified by Special Snowflake FAQ) in the rulebooks, actually say" perspective, not a "What I wish the rules said" perspective. Even GW agrees with me, send an email to 40kfaq@gwplc.com for a confirmation reply "4. Apply The Rules As Written. If you still don’t have a satisfactory answer, use the rule just as it is written if you possibly can, even if you are not completely happy with the effect the rule has."
