The Last Sword have a campaign for Lizardmen ending soon.

I've backed their last two projects for elves, and I'm impressed with what I have received. Their minis have great detail and are easy to assemble, but be warned that the material is not as easy to clean as resin, requiring little slices as opposed to scraping.

There are more pictures of hero minis and such at the kickstarter page.

I wonder what the version of a carnosaur will look like!

I'm honestly surprised they don't have a carnosaur proxy in place.

Lost Kingdom did. Heck, Lost Kingdom had a lot of ancillary lizard items on offer besides the usual troop choices.

Not to detract from these- I actually like Last Sword's basic troops a bit more than Lost Kingdom's. Lost Kingdom had the cool armored guys though. Last Sword's Skinks are nicer in my opinion.

I'm in for at least a skirmish unit and more than likely some hero models.

I found it amusing that FOUR DIFFERENT DAKKA MEMBERS contacted me about this, as if I wasn't aware or didn't already have it marked on my calendar for when the campaign was starting.

I'm not as impressed with the skinks. They all look like they're searching for the bits they dropped on the carpet.

The saurus warriors speak to me, as well as the caiman and the skink priest. I might pick up one or two of the terrain bits for fantasy/sci fi/Stargate purposes.

Some nice sculpts! I definitly will pledge for that sun engine beast, maybe the Caimans as well. But over all, I think lost kingdom had nicer stuff. Had these guys gone for some wilder looks, and taken some risks with new designs, they might have stood out more. But overall, these look like a solid take on lizard men (people?).

I was also surprised that this campaign comes across so much less ambitious than previous campaigns. I hope Last Sword puts a bit more of their own spin on the next range.

I know I'm a broken record in this regard, but I'd really like to see someone take the Meso-American style and dial it up to 11. Nobody ever has.

Some models across various ranges have come close, certainly, but in the end we tend to get practically naked lizards with primitive weapons.

Do you want lizards wearing jaguar suits and sporting topknots? I'm no expert, but aside from the interesting clothing, I'm not sure what you could dial up? I'm not being facetious, I just really don't know what you could do.

Lizards in feather jumpsuits or even pants just seems weird.

These are very pretty. I like the warriors and Caiman.

Those looks really nice! If I had no given up on WFB ages ago I could see me updating my lizardmen with those nice sculpts.
I actually rather like the skinks, for me it's the Slaan/Quatl that, while nice, doesn't live up to the GW Slaan with its very nice alien look.
I wish them luck on the campaign!
