Planning to make a white scars army for 30k and was thinking of using dawneagles for a praetor and command squad on jetbikes. I've seen a couple conversions but I haven't found much in the way of how the conversions were done or how difficult it is. I'd appreciate any input or advice.

I have used Sammael jetbike model for my Word Bearers Centurion/Praetor. Ofcourse because the legion is WB you can leave the robes and even imperial eagle at the front (i thought about cutting its head or wrap it with some wire around its neck). For me Custodes jetbikes are a little too big for marines.

Try searching for some 3rd party jetbikes. Maybe they will be okay for White Scars.

Dawneagles work quite well as all you need to do is clip above the waste and make a couple of other conversions, such as the heavy weapons they have, it is also MUCH cheaper to go this route than the HH jetbikes which are super overpriced even for forge world.

Puppetswar does a jetbike (https://puppetswar.eu/models-and-bits-46/sci-fi/mankind/models/riders/star-jetbiker.html) that fits normal Space Marine bike riders just fine. It isn't inexpensive but it's less expensive than a FW bike and it's pretty close in size to the Dawneagle bikes.

I'm not a fan of the big exposed intakes and turbines on the 3rd party bike models i've seen, which is why i was thinking to use the dawneagles in the first place.

Oh. Then your major worries will be armament (the Dawneagle doesn't have a good spot to put one centerline gun) and scale (you'll probably want to move the pedals/handlebars to fit a Marine biker).

Figured i'd just use the hurricane bolters and say they're heavy bolters or stick a sponson heavy on each side where the hurricanes go. My main concern was getting a marine in the pilot seat. I've seen it done but have no clue how they did it aside from they kept the custodes boots.and green skinned them to marine legs
