Tre Manor's latest campaign is for his Infernals faction, which covers demons and undead (and maybe cultists later).

The initial 10-figure warband is $55.

They're 28mm metal minis. Red Box Games is based in the US. This KS is EU-friendly.

The funding goal was reached on the first day and as of this writing we're close to the first stretch goal, a set of 5 undead:

These look great! I really like Tre doing non-humans as the scale then is sort of irrelevant.

Loved the dwarves I got from him a while back, and I think I'll probably jump in for these too

This looks great! Backing for sure

You aren’t by any chance going to release that undead priestess from the sdsp to go with those lesser undead are you? Because that would be awesome

Also, any chance you would think about doing some gith models? There are almost none available, only nolzurs does a couple

Wait? Is this not a part of that? I thought he was officially working on that starting with the Barbarians last Kickstarter? I really like the look of these - particularly the munchkin demons (and the fat little sorcerer). And it seemed to follow the pattern of Wizard leader + followers of the last KS.

The last KS, Warbands of Wrath and Ruin had the first releases for Tre's long-teased new range. The minis from that are in the store under "ancients", including the full set here.

I think the current KS is part of the regular Fantasy range. Zyrava is an update of an earlier character. You could of course use them with the Wrath and Ruin barbarians as well, the Greater Daemonite Warriors in particular would fit right in.

Meanwhile the first two stretch goals have unlocked - set of 5 Wretched Undead for $20 and a Daemonite Warlock for $8 (or you can swap him out for one of the characters in the warband set).
Next up is an apprentice, but no pic yet.

Hey guys! Thanks for yall interest.

No these are not officially for the SDSP. thought I suppose they could work for the setting if someone wanted them to. The Wrath and Ruin KS was a bit of a miserable miss fire of a launch. I clearly went wrong somewhere with those figures. They barely funded through KS and have not sold a single unit since. I think that may be down to nto having a game to go with them or maybe the sculpts were just boring? Not sure. Either way I am firmly reconsidering my approach tot eh SDSP.

These are really just a project I knew I could do that people would like and have a use for.

Glad yall like them!

As someone who generally lurks these forums and plays a few skirmish games I really want an excuse to pick up some of your miniatures Tre. I've had the goblin warband in my cart a few times but without a system to use them in it's hard to justify. I've considered kings of war vanguard but it seems like you already have a games worth of factions if you could just add some rules for them.

Just a thought

Personally I'd go with a bit dull, but mainly too much of the same. You've run many KS where the offering boils down to "wide stance, bare-chested, muscle dude in loincloth/belt/greaves". At this point, I think you've likely saturated Red Box fans with this particular theme.

Some more non-humans (lizardmen or gnolls) would be great. Something inspired by Darksun would also be really sweet. I realize that Darksun is pretty "shirtless dude in loincloth" adjacent, but throw on some chitin armor/weapons, weird helmets, mutations and a bit more fantasy vibe and it would set it apart. You could branch into techno accessories. Mutant Crawl Classics could use a good line of minis!

This - you previewed us (many years ago) all these awesome lizardmen and mutants and whatnot - but then the first set was super plain, boring barbarians. I also think a game would help since your minis are out of scale with most other companies, making it hard to use them as proxies for stuff.

To my mind, other companies are out of scale with Tre's excellent miniatures

I agree with the others that your barbarians are lovely, but I already have as many as I want from other projects, I am really interested in the mutants and the lizardmen if they ever get done because good lizardmen are really hard to find.

I like this KS because the demonic theme is really cool and well executed.

Great to see RBG still truckin' though, and that this project is EU friendly.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Well the SDSP was really just an excuse to make a LOT of barbarian dudes. Yes there are a lto fo other very different races involved int he world but at the end of the day the whole project was supposed to revolve around barbarian humans. Hell the name of the project was actually going to be " Barbaria " hahaha! I never called it by it's name because I could never afford to trade mark it and I did not want some other competitor to snatch up the name and run with it.

the whole idea was that human barbarians were the base plate of any warband and that other races could be mixed in as special units to add identity to the warbands. I think I just did not design the initial launch figures very well and there were nto enough of those " special unit " types to go along with the huumans so that the vision could be realized.

To properly launch the SDSP I need to have no fewer than four differently themed Warlords ( i.e. Barbarian Hero, Amazon Hero, Cultist Hero, Empirial Hero ) and no less than four champion units ( Barbarian elite, hoplites, Liche warriors, Lizard Men ) and then 2 units of semi modular barbarian warriors to start off with.

and having some terrain would nto hurt.

As someone who backed the Warbands of Wrath and Ruin Kickstarter and has a near insatiable love of barbarian miniatures I'll offer some feedback:

I was very disappointed that head sculpts were really just helsvakt reskins, with no interesting options. I'll have to check my bag, but I don't think we even got the horned helmet shown in the pics. All the miniatures we're very samey, and I think the heads were all repeated twice in the bag I got. (I'll check tonight)

You could have added leather harness ala John Carter, done some other style of loin wraps (like the sumo style favored by lots of primitive people), and done some other helmet style than the one that has featured in almost all your previous Kickstarters to spice things up a bit.

Most importantly, I think people would respond well to seeing you do a different pose (running, standing, striking, basically anything other than your standard pose).

All good advice. I fully acknowledge I got a little too carried away with the idea of ' generic foot man " with those.

What I would love for you to try is some variety in body types as well. (not just for the sdsp but also your main range.) Instead of all muscle guys have some guys that are skinny and wiry, maybe a fat but powerful warlord, a really tall guy, ect.. That all adds character to the models, and then the super muscled guys look special too. In Hasslefrees range he has a barbarian that is scrawny and I love that model just because it makes an adventure or tells a story all by itself.

Final 24 hours for this campaign.

More unlocked goals: Warlock for $8 (or as a character choice in the warband pledge) and a set of 5 female Daemonites for $25.

The daemonnettes look great Tre. They look dangerous and attractive.

We've had a bit of body type variation before- just not with the barbarian dudes.

I know my bandits from a while back have some wiry guys along with the more stocky and portly types.

I think you've got a lock on the Frazetta- style muscular helmeted warrior types. You've got the style down so well I can near instantly identify when you've sculpted a muscular fighter- type that doesn't bother going into battle wearing a whole lot (or perhaps clothes of a more Nordic variety). Which isn't really a knock or criticism- your sculpts are basically the gold standard I hold all the other barbarian models to, past and present. The big kicker is how many more barbarians do I really need though (and no, I'm not going to build up a full rank and file swords and sandals style army).

I don't know how financial viable it would be, but perhaps venturing into more exotic territories in terms of sculpting as well as cultural inspiration? Perhaps some designs based more on traditional Middle Eastern garb or that of Ancient China? Something that nobody really does.

Just a thought.

[What I'm secretly saying though- lizardmen.]

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!
