After seeing all the cool things at Adepticon I finally broke down and started to convert over the 2.0 X-wing.
Do mostly basement games and usually the ring leader for my group..

Is there anything that stands out that I need to be aware of.. I know about the App to build and the expense of conversion packs.

But is there builds I need to be aware of.. or something extreme change from the previous edition that could trip us up.

Also .. Is there a build that allows a Sensor, Astromech and device.. (asking for a friend)

To the last question, the only thing I can think of is the Scuurg for Scum with the Havoc title.

Big things... You are aware that the game is now seven factions? New obstacles (gas clouds), new strain token, different game formats (extended and hyperspace), medium bases, force powers/users/mechanic, most ships dials and hull/shield ratios have changed... Hard to answer without knowing what you already know!

The game is still fairly new and the points changes every 6 months, combined with the new factions that were just released makes defining problematic builds tricky. At the moment the list some people seem to view as a negative play experience is 4 TIE Phantoms - 3 with Juke and 1 with Crack Shot. I'm not sure it's as powerful as everyone seems to think it is, but it has caused a few rumblings in various places online.

One thing I like about 2n edition is that a lot more ships are more viable than they were. there are still some outliers, but if you want to run classic ships like X-Wings, B-Wings, Y-Wings, TIE Fighters, the Falcon, you'll be able to have a good time. If you're just playing among friends I'd say explore all the new options and see what you think is the most fun.

Thanks for the feedback; I plan to get to the FLGS on Monday to see what the current players are like.

One thing I have noticed is the conversion boxes are all or none. In the past i just ran generic imperial interceptors.
Now I only got three and really don’t need another box; it seems I could spread out everything except the dials;

How bad did the dials change in the new edition; otherwise I will patchwork them until I figure something out.

Only other question is threat; how much does it affect the game?

Some dial changes are tiny, some are massive. The Tie interceptor for example has gained 3 speed sloops, the JM5K is now unplayable...

Threat is used in some tournaments but generally just those aimed at beginners, it is unfortunately a mess with some threat ships being given upgrades that they cannot use at all.

Thanks for all the advise and feedback..

So you can shoot someone that you "bump" now?

So they are at range zero.. What upgrade or something to shoot them now?

There are a couple of things that allow you to shoot at range zero (ie. bumping) though off the top of my head I can only recall Zeb (crew) and an A-Wing pilot for Rebels, though otherwise no, you cannot shoot things you are bumping.
Edit; Oicunn in the Decimator as well.
