I have been out of the loop for Age of Sigmar for a long time but have recently decided to dive back in. I have tried to check out the new lore but I have yet to find anything about Araloth and his daugther. Are they not in AoS despite the build up in the end times? Any hints about them alive or dead or is there just silence? Would greatly appreciate any answer about their fates.

They told me i was crazy, that i could not win with an army list like that. 2000 points later i found out that they were right

There is next to nothing regarding the old wood elf faction. They split off the sylvaneth and made a tome out of them and Aleriele is now a goddess. There is no mention of Araloth or any other wood elf characters that I am aware of.

Yeah, Wood Elves gave up the fight against Nurgle in the Realm of Life and left for Azyr.
Sylvaneth are the forces that stayed and fought on.

So if we ever see armies of Azyr aside from Stormcast, maybe there's some Wood Elves elements in them.

There's a wood aelf that appears in the Heart of Winter novella; however in general there's very little on them right now. They basically are suffering from being a split army that hasn't had attention in a long while and, right now, we've no idea what GW's plans are for the greater amount of Aelves. So far only Idoneth (Totally new) and Daughters of Khaine have had any real heavy story and army development.

Hopefully this year GW will turn their attention toward the Aelves

The only good news is that the Wanderer's (remaining wood elves) got a slight update (relics/traits/etc) in the most recent generals handbook. Kurnoth Riders, Sisters of the Thorn, and some of the other newer plastic models still appear to have life left, but they did however squat some of the older models like glade riders.

We mortals are but shadows and dust...

Glade Riders were gone when AoS dropped. Wasn't really a surprise IMO since they had been Direct Only for a year or two at that point, and the Wood Elf Battalion had ceased to be sold.

I'd expect that if we see anything about Orion coming back(which does seem to actually be hinted at in the lore about Realm of Life), that's when we will see the Wanderers return.

Wasn't he on that new world with an elven goddess that got destroyed in the final end times book? I had assumed he was killed off page. I'd like to think he survived. Hes a cool chracter, but I haven't seen anything about him in some time.
Personally I'd like to see him return with Alith Anar, and Prince Imrik of Caledor.

I recall he was on a demi-plane with some elves and it was supposed to be hidden so they could repopulate after the end times destroyed everything. Be-Lakor found it though and it didn't end well for them. But I could be getting elves mixed up.

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

You have it correct.

At this juncture, we don't know what happened. We know that Tyrion, Teclis, Malekith(now Malerion), and Morathi are still around and have assumed the mantles of godhood. The Everqueen has assumed the mantle of Ariel and became Alarielle.

Orion? Gone, as far as we know(although there's a continent called Kurnothea in Ghyran).
Loec? No idea!
Lileath? No idea!
Etc etc etc

We know Mathlaan is dead though. The Eidolons are effectively a thought form created by the Idoneth of what they think Mathlaan was.

We also know that Khaine is shattered but not totally dead as Morathi has hold of his iron heart. However she is also syphoning off all the prayer power he would be getting that might restore him - partly because she didn't become a god. She survived the end of the world, but because she was consumed by Slaanesh she didn't get access to the godly powers that the others (including her son) attained.

So she's super bitter about not actually being a god and is stealing Khaine's power. This might well be preventing him from resurrecting through his Iron heart. She's also got her people scouring the lands for other relics from his shattering and fall, but thus far (Mythic, Chaos and start of Sigmar ages) they've not found anything save his heart.

Just an addendum on that; she knows there's no other relics apart from the heart. She has the regular witch aelves out hunting to basically spread them out and keep them focused on other things so she can keep up her image of worshipping Khaine more easily rather than letting on that she's just taking his power.
