Going back to my Dwarf roots and I remember some time back that a guy named Dan (Danunsupervised on twitter I think) managed to place top 10 with a Dwarf list. Not going to lie, I'm going to flat out replicate his list and see if I can make it work. This was over a year ago. If anyone reading this sees it and knows what Dan was running please let me know if this is correct, or if there are ways to improve the list. Thanks!

10 Warriors with GW/Sh
10 Longbeards with GW/Sh
30 Ironbreakers
20 Irondrakes
30 Quarrelers

Idea is to screen those shooting units as long as I can, tunnel the Drakes to smoke off the one thing I can really kill and push forward quickly to try and get some objective points. Use the Prime as a bully or mental piece to keep the opponent on their toes.

Yup, looks like you got the right idea. FYI early on don't hold the Prime in reserve or use him in melee unless its an emergency; his job is to hide in the back and drop meteors on things (using his ability to make them automatically 6" radius) until late game.

He actually just moved here recently. My wife is taking on his Dwarfs with her new Troll force in this round of our Path to Glory campaign.

I can run this past him if you like.

Noob question, but can they carry Great Weapons and shields?

It's a bit unclear if it was the intention, but by RAW yes.

Yeah it doesn’t make sense but as written 100% legal. Considering the bonkers abilities some other units have I don’t question it in the least.

Also eldarian, I would super appreciate you running it past dan. Thanks!

I like to think they slam the shields down to make a barricade, and/or have guys in the front do shields while their buddies attack past them.

Someone may have to check my maths, but I think that list puts you at 2060 points.

I see what your saying and you missed the discount on the ironbreakers for taking the full size unit. Makes them only 360 instead of 420.

Talked to Dan today. He is still using a form of this list. He said he found this version a bit problematic in that it never got the choice of first turn and it had no deterrent to his opponents giving him first turn.

He has a new version he's using in this weekend's Wetcoast tournament.

Well, tell him I'd love to hear what it is, or hear how he goes on the weekend. I follow him on Twitter, so I guess if he posts about how it goes I'll see it, but I'm very interested.
