The Cadian command sprue has a handful of gas masks on it. I was wondering, has anyone used them? I’ve seen Cadians with gas masks as Forgeworld upgrade bits, but I cannot find an example online of a Cadian with that command sprue gas mask. I’m curious if they fit well, and look good, for stormtrooper conversions.

I use them occasionally, mostly for guys with flamethrowers and Valkyrie pilots.

They fit quite nicely. They look best with the heads with glasses, that comes with Heavy Weapons teams.

They're a bit awkward to fit as the head generally has to be facing perfectly forward, but they look pretty decent. I'm more a fan of the Hostile Environment upgrades however, much better looking and they make excellent Kasrkin conversions.

I loved the old Kasrkin models and I really regret not getting some when they were cheap. They go for silly money now on eBay.

The FW ones look OK but they look a bit weedy for Kasrkin on normal Cadian bodies. I wonder if they work with Tempest Scion arms and legs? I think they would look better but they would be a bit pricier.

They definitely work well with Scion parts, have a look at the ones I came up with below. I used the Scion legs, and added the thigh plates cut away from the torso parts.

Those look really good, I feel reassured this is the way to go, assuming I can lay hands on the visored versions of the helmet heads. Thank you for the pictures!

To fans or the old Cadian Kasrkins, they were wonderful. I had a full ten man squad painted once in pewter, and they certainly stood out. I sacrificed them to eBay for some bill a decade ago, but it’s just as well, the paint would have rubbed off by now... (I tell myself...)

So is that Scion legs, arms, and weapons with vanilla guard torsos?
