Ave Dominus Nox friends. New to CSM with Shadowspear and would like to kit up some Night Lords.
I noticed Puppetswar stopped some of their CSM conversion products, and FW looks out of NL transfer sheets. What's a heretic to do?
Two other questions:
What are your favorite CSM kits to put together?
How does one make a flayed flesh cloak?

If you buy a set of Raptors or other CSM kits, they do come with Chaos decals that feature Nightlords insignias. If you get the new CSM box (the $60 one), you'll get enough Nightlords decals to deck out your Shadowspear ones too. Alternatively, there is also the Nightlords Upgrade Pack from GW, which features shoulder pads with a sculpted insignia.
As for kitbashing, the arms, heads and weapons from Raptors/Warptalons are compatible with basic CSM's.
For making a flayed flesh cloak, I would use GW's Green Stuff sculpting putty. I'd also recommend using your fingers to flatten it out, so that it captures the texture of your skin.

Ah, I didn't realize the new kits had NL decals. The only SM decals I ever got were Ultramarines.
Hadn't considered the skin texture, that's a good idea.

First off - dont buy the Night Lords upgrade pack from GW - it looks straight CLOWN SHOES.
This is what you need

https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-US/Night-Lords-Transfer-Sheet
they also have shoulder pads, but I dunno how they fit on new CSM

+1 on the terror squad heads. You can do something similar with Green Stuff but it's not worth the time it takes.
The conversion pack comes with winged helmets, which I also like. I guess it's a matter of preference, but nothing says Night Lords like bat wings.
